Not every gun owner is piss poor. Attack will come from Punjab border, plenty of automatic weapons and bullets to go around.

The problem with Iran is that alot of the population in Pakistan is still pro-Iran for various reasons. Alot dont realise or accept the deacdes long history of iranian espionage, covert operations and sectaraian violence spread in Pakistan by Iran. Alot of their military and political leaders of different stature and levels have lambasted and threatened us and our existence in the past.

Even now, when we helped Iran in their war with USA, and tried to act as a mediator, they are still supplying afghans with equipemnt, covertly support BLA and other separatist movements and will not hesitate a second to sit again in indias lap for chahbahar port development, if given a chance. We must not forget their agreements with india for using chahbahar and banda abbas naval ports.

The sooner we realise this, and move with this very thought, the better its for us as a nation. We must engage and work with Iran but not blindly and without knowing the facts.

CIA is activating Baluchi separatists movements big time in Iran nowadays. Not a fan of the Iranian regime never was but I already see the campaign of some by US media to present those insurgents as "freedom fighters" Tehran major role as a neighbour seems to be a place from which our Baluchi Terrorists groups can hang out in between attacking us Pakistanis. Not that I will have much sympathy for Iran when CIA arms supports the Baluchistan Sunnis separatists there. Obviously not good news for Pakistan. But Iran deserves it for helping Indians Raw from then Chabhar port to attack us. And helps BLA.

its been decades that iran, india, and UAE have wrecked havoc in balochistn, poured money that sponsored the local and foreign idiots operating there. We also gave Balochs enough reasons to feel betrayed and Sardars of Balochistan ate all the royalties and money guven to them and social determinants of health remain non-existant in Balochistan. Th poverty and injustice was exploited by the enemies. This was supplemented by KSA, which added fuel to the fire by supporting sectarianism against shias and iranian supported religious fantasism.

I am with you and have also got zero sympathy for iran for CIA sponsored sunnies separatists in Sestan-balochistan.

Pakistan was wrong to merge Gawader with Balochistan in 1960s. This should have been made a separate province with adjoining areas. Now we have to loft the social condition, the sardars wont let go of their choke hold of the system, we cant divide balochistan into smaller provinces and the bigger cities of Hub, Turbat, sibi, Gawader and Quetta are far away from rest of the Balochistan province, with no proper roads and other infrastructure and its impossible to affect the life of the smaller villages.
Pakistan needs to raise the stabdard of about half a dozen more villages to small cities to middle size cities. Like we have across the country e.g. Nowshera, Kohat, Bannu, Sawat, Rahimyar khan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Gujranwala, jehlum, Sukkur, mirpur khas, Hyderabad, etc... enough options so ppl from nearby areas can go and work there. Currently there is civilization (of 1990s and 2000 level) in 2 or 3 cities and then there is abyss in Balochistan.
Till the local population gets opportunities for food, education, job, and health facilities, you cant stop the insurgency.

Poppy cultivation in Balochistan was extensive in 2025: farms were large and in some areas the crop occupied as much as 70% of total agricultural land.

This is why harsh security operation is needed - borders must remained closed to limit traffic in and out - and remain shut until we have a handle on inward migration... This is coming to Pakistan from only ONE direction.

If Pakistan is the closest ally of the "secular" Turkey, then Pak can live well with a "secular" Iran too...
 

Terrorist commander killed during IBO in Balochistan's Qila Saifullah: state media​

Security forces killed a terrorist commander during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Qila Saifullah, state-run Radio Pakistan reported on Sunday, citing security sources.

The slain terrorist was identified as Adil Shah alias Darvesh in the state broadcaster’s report, which said he belonged to Fitna-al-Khawarij — a term the state uses for terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan.

“Security forces are actively carrying out operations against terrorists in Balochistan under ‘Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-3’. According to security sources, the terrorist commander had been associated with Fitna-al-Khawarij since Dec 2020 and had been managing the financial affairs of the group since 2024,” the report said.

The commander was also involved in facilitating permanent residences for “foreign terrorists” in Balochistan’s Zhob, Sherani, and Shaban, the report quoted the sources as saying. It added that the slain terrorist had been involved in attacks on security forces and kidnapping for ransom since 2022.

Nineteen first information reports were registered against him and a bounty of Rs2.5 million was placed on his head, the report further stated.
 
The province has witnessed terrorist attacks and security challenges for a long time.

On October 19, an army major was martyred, and four terrorists were killed during IBOs in Balochistan.

A day before that, security forces killed eight “India-sponsored” terrorists during IBOs conducted in the Quetta, Nushki and Khuzdar districts of Balochistan.

On Oct 14, five terrorists were killed in an IBO in Balochistan’s Washuk by security forces, while 10 terrorists were killed in a targeted IBO conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Department in Balochistan’s Barkhan district on Oct 10.

On Sept 17, three terrorists were eliminated in an IBO in Balochistan’s Awaran district’s Badrang area. Another three were killed in Mastung on Sept 14. Earlier in September, 21 terrorists were killed in separate engagements in Nokcha, Chagai, Ziarat Cross, and Pishin.

According to Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), terrorist violence increased substantially last month, with 225 attacks recorded nationwide, compared with 199 in August, representing a 13.1 per cent increase and the highest monthly total recorded in 12 years.

As per the report, terrorism related fatalities rose by 64 per cent from 158 to 259, while injuries increased by 33.7 per cent to 242.

Balochistan remained the most affected province, the report said, accounting for 131 attacks — 58.2pc of the national total.

Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir said last week that the armed forces will continue the counterterrorism campaign against Indian-sponsored terrorist groups “to the fullest”, vowing to “hit them hard wherever they are”.
