How would Israel be able to bomb civilian sites 500-1000km inside Iran without using nearby airbases?

How would they refuel mid air? Is Israel to Iran directly via refueling option viable for them? Also what weapons would F-35 carry from such a distance?

I'm seeing everywhere "Israel is going to destroy Iran", but they don't seem to understand how far Iran and its mainland are from Israel

Jerich 2/3 and LACM. Rumor is they have a variant of Popeye Turbo LACM that can go 1000KM+. It’s also possible they have a stockpile of long range Tomahawks provided by US for this very reason. No Reason israeli defense industry couldn’t have built a 1000KM+ LACM during the late 2000’s for Iranian contingency plan attacks.

It is for F-16/F-15 using tankers. Although F-15 should be able to make it there without the need to refuel. The question becomes how long you stay in Iranian airspace and waste fuel. Either way they would need to refuel on way back.

Also what weapons would F-35 carry from such a distance?

F-35 needs a specialized tanker that Israel doesn’t possess. So USAF would have to refuel them which then becomes tantamount to declaration of war on Iran.

Weapon Package would be intresting: if it goes into stealth mode, it would be very limited package. If they decide to load up pylons than RCS goes much higher and the planes can be spotted easier.




Then there is issue of determining how many JDAMs you use vs AA in stealth loadout.

I just don’t see the airstrike option as viable without USAF joining in.
