Yeah, because Israel cannot take on Iran on its own. It's why guys like @Get Ya Wig Split disappear during moments like this but if US starts bombing Iran he'll come in the thread screaming how 'Israel is owning Iran and Hezbollah '.

This could play out in two ways:
1. It could compromise the coalition government and force his hand
2. It could galvanize the people behind Netanyahu.
Personally speaking, I think this might be the end of the rope for Netanyahu.

The Iranians made sure to say that this was in retaliation to the consulate attack. The Israeli public is not going to forget this, as the attack was almost certainly signed off by Netanyahu.

Israel thinks the Jews are better then the rest of world , they believe they have more right to live , would have been better if some drones missiles hit IDF in gaza . That would have hurt them more as lives lost is more damaging to them.
At least kill equal number of people if not the same rank

It seems like Israel is planning to retaliate. If larger powers don't encourage diplomacy then this will escalate into a full blown war.

US reportedly doesn't plan to assist Israel in offensive military campaigns though.

Israel may not retaliate militarily, but I would expect a string of assassinations to start in Iran if Israel doesn't strike back. Israeli military tends to be very vengeful.

Israel and US seem to be happy on the defensive achievement, it seems this might

That's what they said about Ukraine and it was leaked that US Special Forces was on the frontlines in Ukraine.

While I do agree that airplane is still king, the Iranians clearly held back.

They have enough fire power to overwhelm Israeli defenses and decimate Israeli bases and positions.

While we don't know the exact number, I'm willing to bet that Israel's interceptors are severely depleted.

They launched a couple hundred drones and older model, CMs and BMs, a drop in the bucket when it comes to their total arsenal which is said to be the largest missile force in the world.

Let's not down play the significance here. This was clearly a warning.

This was just one attack. We know US/NATO are short on interceptors. UK and France both ran into supply problems. Ukraine is sucking up interceptors.

So even if Israel has 10,000 interceptors ready. If iran is firing 300 projectiles every few hours your air defense will eventually collapse from exhaustion during reloading phase or from simply running out of interceptors.

Now imagine Iraq is firing drones, Yemen, and HZ is firing 2,000-5,000 rockets a day plus drones.

Israel will retaliate. You can bet your bottom dollar.

No one has mentioned this yet, probably because most are assuming Iran is being very cautious not to come anywhere near our 3rd most precious site for Muslims. Although the videos of the missiles hitting areas close to Jerusalem and similar to this pic is a bit worrisome, I'm also assuming Iran's precision level is accurate enough to stay clear of the Masjid Al Aqsa compound in its entirety, including any chances of the intercepting debris landing and damaging something like Qubbat al-Sakhrah or Dome of the Rock. Something I wouldn't put past the zionist criminals to use as an excuse to destroy the Masjid like they've wanted to for decades.

Don't tell me you are more worried about a mosque at this point when so much blood has been shed. There's hadith regarding the life of a Muslim being more precious than the Kabba itself; a temporary structure can be rebuilt a life gone can never come back.

It depends on how much pressure the US puts on Israel.

Biden is NOT happy with Netanyahu, and this situation likely confirmed in his mind that he needs to force Israel to deescalate quickly.

An Israeli retaliation is 50/50 at this point.

Israeli public is full of terrorists. Please don't misrepresent their nature. They voted him back in and worse, and they want to genocide all Palestinians. Only thing that will change their mind is if they start facing severe consequences. If Netanyahu doesn't attack Iran and brings focus back on Gaza and West Bank, exclusively, they will continue supporting everything he does.
