In the above video Dr. Samar Says the range of Shaheen 2 missile is 2500km so the question here is why Make a whole new variant of missile just to increase range to merely 270km? and also increase the height of missile from 17 to 19m?
Second question can they perform evasive manauvers

Though this was only on wiki, do we have such counter measures in place or our missiles simple follow a predictable ballistic trajectory???
@Bilal @Quwa @Panzerkiel

Shaheen 1 had CEP 10m - improved further in II&3
Ive seen the footage of the first Shaheen test and that hit about 1m off the flag.

The new variant new range figure was to hit an Indian territory that was considered off the “safe” launch point for Shaheen-2. That range the declared figure - and could potentially be increased at a reduction of payload.

But, that is not required because it covers all of India and that is the ONLY goal of Pakistan’s systems.

Would you comment on the survivability of Pakistani Ballistic Missiles against BMD shield?
After Showdown of Iran-Israel, Pakistanis on social media really seem to be concerned about this.

However I understand, our BMs are not the only deterrence against India.

The matter has been complicated by Andaman and nicobar and foreign bases in south IOR region though.

5 of the 7 BM's Iran fired at Nevatim AFB, got through the most heavily defended place in the world.

But the question is which missiles did Iran use in this instance? A lot of observers are saying, Iran showed with the attack on Nevatim, that it can flatten whatever they wanted in Israel if they really wanted to.

You can see what you wish - but it adds NOTHING to the overall context which is that Pakistan has everything available for its strategic programs be it local or through China and other sources .

Dual use was 20-25 years ago.. today it’s all purpose built in house your assertions on benefits to access or use and so on are basically useless arguments to me because I worked in that ecosystem, have friends and colleagues who worked or still work so I know more than you as an Indian on a Pakistani forum trying to shoot tangential arguments to assuage your own self. Let’s agree to disagree and not waste time.
Knowledge on what is otherwise decades old tech, but relatively new in our region, is already being published in international journals by the Indians themselves.

Considering how quickly North Korea advanced its missile program on a shoestring budget, it not unlikely Pakistan will have to do the same as well, to get a similar regionally focused capability (missiles within a 2500 km range)

Meaning we do have ultra long range precision missiles although for strategic purposes but they can be used for conventional strikes that require 5m CEP, Nice!
What about those evasive manuauvers, can our missiles like S1,2&3 perform evasive manuauvers to overcome systems like Arrow 3???

I think it was just saturated decoy warheads with some ManeuveringRV warheads mixed in.

Iranian missiles are described to have CEP 1m
