PA MLRS, Self Propelled and towed artillery [BM-11, Fatah-I GMLRS, Fatah-II] - News, Updates & Discussions

If Fatah I with its 70-80km range is nuclear armed, then surely Fatah II and the follow on Fatah III and IV are likely to be nuclear armed as well? Does this mean that these systems are likely to be replacements for legacy ballistic missiles like Gaznavi, Abdali, maybe even early versions of Shaheen?
Why would you like to get to the nuclear threshold when you've excellent conventional capability? If you link up your armed/reconnaissance HALE UAVs - equipped with AESA radars, AI based imaging, EW/EA capability etc. - to locate the targets and direct firing from long range MLRS, the game is already over......

Sorry, yes you're right. That's what I was trying to understand, if Nasr was explicitly stated as a tactical nuke platform with its much shorter range, then surely the Fatah series are likely to be nuclear armed as well? But I don't think they've bee explicitly stated as such, which I find a bit odd.
I think. It should be possible (technically). But they want to draw a clear line and call it non-nuclear both for commercial export and employment purposes.

I mean, if and when you shoot it in anger, you don’t want anyone to say Pakistan used a nuclear capable missile, Pakistan fired guided rockets narrative is more appropriate.

Nasr is designed for both conventional and non-conventional warhead.
Fatah Series is completely conventional.

Legacy platforms are re-lifed, and some replaced by newer systems. One of the three BMs u named is planned to be gradually phased out over the years with the induction of better missiles while rest are upgraded & improved.

The SRMs, and other components have a life after which they need to be inspected and replaced.

That's the bit I don't understand, because Nasr has the lowest range, but it seems to have been developed specifically for the tactical nuclear role in response to india's 'cold start' doctrine. It would then make sense to also have the Fatah series as a tactical nuclear platform given their high mobility and greater strike ranges, almost equivalent to the legacy SRBMs.

Sure. If we need such, it will be in our in service. SPD makes sure for that! : )

Generally three batteries, with six launchers in each battery.
Having Fatah series rockets, gives us flexibility against Indians, but it also means that we are 'ready' to keep things in conventional domain, in face of Indian stupidity (sort of 'calls our 'nuclear bluff''). Doesn't that embolden the Indians?? 🤔🤔

Maybe we have got medium and long range fire superiority in the conventional domain....may be....
