how it is controlled then
Radar + EO/IO.
No military would rely only EO/IO guidance for their last line of defense protection system (CWIS).

how it is controlled then
exactly by which radar?Radar guided gun
which radarRadar + EO/IO.

which radar
and what is the minimum range for thatThe same one that guides Navab missiles.
and what is the minimum range for that
its funny you think a radarsuited for guiding missiles is suited for something that is supposed to be used in less tan 1.5km

the design may change in future no denying it , but the 30mm cannon in front as of now is EO/IR guided and those gatling guns are remote controlled , probably in next version of the boat they use an auxiliary radar for those guns, navwab is not suitable for those guns its more look at sky , those guns need to be able to fight sea drones and navwab is not the tool for that . maybe later when we saw an stabilized version of those guns, we see them tied to an auxiliary radar and beside that also and EO system also as there is more room on the Mast for different type of radar, and I hope they don't leave 01 in its current state and after the design matured and fixed they upgrade it to the final version, otherwise its only suitable for dealing with fuel smugglers and Somalian piratesWhat is funny you think Iran is going to break against tradition of using radar + EO on CIWS and go EO only in its fail safe redundancy mechanism.
Navwab radar is classified at this point. So I will let you know the details once I have my quarterly meeting with IRGC officers.
Lastly Solemani ship is not fully complete.
As you can see between this variant

3 different ships - 3 different main radars
Btw those guns use to be manual

The design is getting constantly upgraded during peace time.
So any absurd speculation about its defense mechanisms is conjecture.
What you don't understand is that 99% of its mission will be to protect against pirates and rescue, boarding monitoring, not doing naval warfare with the US or NATOthe design may change in future no denying it , but the 30mm cannon in front as of now is EO/IR guided and those gatling guns are remote controlled , probably in next version of the boat they use an auxiliary radar for those guns, navwab is not suitable for those guns its more look at sky , those guns need to be able to fight sea drones and navwab is not the tool for that . maybe later when we saw an stabilized version of those guns, we see them tied to an auxiliary radar and beside that also and EO system also as there is more room on the Mast for different type of radar, and I hope they don't leave 01 in its current state and after the design matured and fixed they upgrade it to the final version, otherwise its only suitable for dealing with fuel smugglers and Somalian pirates
and the problem , that human controlled gun cant be of much use against those pirates and a remote controlled gun if stabilized is a lot betterWhat you don't understand is that 99% of its mission will be to protect against pirates and rescue, boarding monitoring, not doing naval warfare with the US or NATO
You need a human controlled canon such as Oerlikon 20mm, it is necessary for warning shots and for better reaction, the men are ready to fire it
This is something nearly all navies in the world have on all of their warships, it is for a good reason
Did you manned an autocanon in real life? A trained navy member transform the pirate and their outboard barks into fresh meat for sharksand the problem , that human controlled gun cant be of much use against those pirates and a remote controlled gun if stabilized is a lot better
Compartment to house boats?A large opening was also created on the other side
