Umm...defending against Turkey. It's the Turks who constantly say (both online and their government)that their crazy arms buying and making is not against Greece, but "others".What are Greek Weapons for? lol

Yes,that is logical. Yet,I personally have been told many times here from various Turks that their crazy arms race, their massive production of weapons, are not for Greece and that really they don't care about Greece. That they are for other countries. For other threats, for bigger threats. And yet,the funny thing is that all the maps and references of certain members are always about GreeceTurkey's weapons buying are for all scenarios and all contingencies. Whether its in the Caucasus, the black sea, Iran, Northern Iraq or Syria, or Eastern Mediterranean, or the Aegean, or Libya or the Red Sea around Somalia, etc etc. It prepares for all situations that may arise, like all other militaries.
"We need Eurofighter because Rafale"

"New missile can reach Athens" or "Our AWACS can see Greek aircraft before they leave from Athens" or "With the S-400 we have locked the Aegean" or "We need Eurofighter because Rafale"
Oh but a certain guy insists they need them as "interim solution"Who? Don't need Eurofighter for Rafale. Just need upgraded F-16Vs even Ozgur 2 would be enough.
It's funny because most of the maps show the range of weapons on the Aegean, not to the east or northeast or towards Turkeyou see those sorts of posts for everything depending on person, whether targeting PKK in Iraq or stuff reaching libya, Persian gulf etc etc. Obviously Greece is on aspect of the several different contingencies that military planners keep in mind when analyzing developments. But every state does this. Whats the point exactly?
Oh but a certain guy insists they need them as "interim solution"![]()
If I find old screenshots of you saying or implying it,will you apologize?I never said that we need Eurofighter because RAFALE
I said if USA block sale of 40 F-16V to Turkiye then 40 Eurofighter to replace old F-4 fleet
I said if Greece has 24 Rafale
Turkiye has 192 S400 Air Defense Missile to block Aegean against Rafales
and I said if we produce 72 KIZILELMA in 2 years that will be enough for 24 Rafale

I'll look for screenshots tomorrow if u want.Who? there is no "need". Some might argue Its a "nice to have", to boost fighter numbers but certainly not a "need", there is nothing that the Eurofighter and the Rafale do that the F-16V cannot do necessarily. The only reasons they the eurofighter was being brought into the discussion was as a contingency if the F-16V sale was blocked. And I suspect politics as well, with Turkey trying to shore up defense/strategic partnerships with the UK. In terms of tactical significance I don't really see too much of a capability gap.
Are you kidding? They make the maps, but I'm the one fixated on it? LolYou for some reason seem to want Turkey to fixate on Greece and give it attention or something,
If I find old screenshots of you saying or implying it,will you apologize?
Remember when I kept telling you that you don't need the Eurofighter if you are having the TFX in full production in 2028? And you kept saying that you need it as interim solution? And I kept telling you why,you don't need it,if you produce your own aircraft it's silly to invest in a whole new expensive aircraft just for 5 years.ok go and find
I never said that we need Eurofighter because of Rafale
OZGUR modernized F-16s with GOKHAN ramjet powered long range air to air missiles will be enough for Rafale
You said that why Turks buying 40 F-1V or Eurofighter while Turkiye develop KAAN
and I said Turkiye needs new Fighter Jets for interim solutions until the KAAN squadrons will be ready in 2035

One ex-general said something he thought of and you took it as official threat. If I had a euro every time a Turkish ex-general or official said "we can be in Athens in 3 hours" or "we can be in Damascus in one hour",I'd have a new laptop by now.Because ex Greek General said thar we can hit Bridges in Istanbul with our Rafales armed with SCALP Missiles
and Turkiye fired TAYFUN Ballistic Missile which hit the target from 561 km
This was a special message to Greeks
