Grapes are sour.... For sure.Rafales are excellent aircraft, which is why India is willing to pay $300 million per unit. Rafale and Eurofighter were shortlisted by the IAF in the Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA) competition after a thorough evaluation.
Indian Air Force rejected F-16, calling it obsolete and outdated in the same MMRCA competition. Despite being the cheapest fighter jet in the MMRCA, F-16 was the first to be dropped.
F-16 would have been Indian's first choice, without any doubt, had there F-16 not been used by a "certain nation" flying them for 40 years.
40 years of experience is a lot of edge even with older generation jets.
