But their ability to plan avd execute a massive air and navy military campaign

Or organise a equivalent war thousands of miles away like USA did in Ww2 ,or desert storm is unlikely

Meanwhile,the Korean War was won and the Vietnam War was lost by South Vietnam,when the US left the country. As long as the US was in the country,the North was kept in check.It was eventually the South Vietnamese government that lost the war,same as with Afghanistan.
