HAL LCA Tejas: Updates, News & Discussions

Just saw this ... can anyone indeed confirm?

That's wild, at first, I thought it was a Mirage 2K but then noticed more similarity to a Tejas, especially the radome.

And the ejection is also pretty wild, captured at the right moment, if real. Sucks nowadays there's so much fake shit out there one never knows if one's living in reality or an alternate reality! Sucks!

Assuming it is real, strange to have a spontaneous fire on the belly like that, unless a tire caught fire on takeoff and lit up when retracted. Or a ground belly scrape could cause that but then why would a Tejas put itself in that position, unless it was performing a crazy roll at low altitude like the Bangladesh Yak-130 a month ago...

BTW, this is that Bangladesh Yak-130 crash I was referring to, pause it @minute 0:04 and tell me that isn't exactly what that tweet above you posted is of the picture minus a few photoshopping skilzz?

Here's the full video in case someone has any doubt it is the Bangladeshi Yak-130.

Ok, you can cling to your hope of a Tejas crash. Better still- go track Martin Baker's X account and hope that they reveal something for you to cheer about.

Didn't happen, India isn't Pakistan. Our media would love nothing more than to have a sensational bit of news to talk about for the next couple of days.

Why do you think I would be happy about a crash? All I want is to know the truth.

Basic reverse image would've landed you on relevant news source. As Gomig21 has already posted above.

Pakistani handles are spreading fake news because they are salty about their hiddeen crash getting exposed by MB. They are doing same on jf17 crash thread by spamming below link.

On that day, a MiG-21 downed a Pakistani F-16 Block 52. You can keep denying it, I have no problem with that I don't speak with emotions, only facts and data.
Yeah facts & data u got from Bollywood? He managed to shoot it down without using any of his missiles which were all found on the wreck!!!?😂Funny for Modi to then say that if India had Rafale this would not have happened?? What was he trying to say? That had it been Rafale instead of Mig 21, it would have shot more down??😂

Well, I see one Tejas, but if it is "THE" Tejas that allegedly crashed is as much unconfirmed like the crash even more so since that image of a burning one is not yet cleared.
I am only surprised that besides (and quite understandable several Pakistani posts) that even some Indian ones rate it as "confirmed"!
What you trying to prove here?

IAF notify every crash within hours after it happen, from there official accounts, and launch CoI. Thats other thing that they have tendency to hide findings of CoI, but they never tried to hide crashes or death of pilots.

And unlike Pakistan, if IAF ever try to hide such crashes or deaths, you will see several PIL in SC.

Bollywood is better source than
DJ-ISPR !!

Spot on. You got the EXACT video from which that fake "Tejas crash" snapshot was taken.

So it was the Yak-130 of the Bangladesh Air Force that crashed and led to the death of 1 pilot and second one was severely injured. Then someone decided to create fake news and took a screenshot from that Yak-130 crash and uploaded it as a "Tejas crash"!

The level of misinformation on the internet! Even a moderator of this forum fell for that fake!

He doesn't know that India is actually a democracy with institutions like Comptroller & Auditor General who will massacre the IAF if they even dare to try and hide a crash. After all it's tax payer money that goes down the drain each time there is a crash.

Plus with smart phones all around, there'd be villagers around, that too in a place as heavily populated as Surat. They'd have taken pictures, videos, uploaded it to all sorts of places even before any Govt. official could arrive at the scene.

Of course all those things can happen in China where no one outside the CCP Govt. knows what's really going on and facts can be hidden, twisted, anything.

Why do you think I would be happy about a crash? All I want is to know the truth.

India is a working democracy where a crash is never hidden. The IAF isn't the PAF or PLAAF which doesn't need to tell it's tax payers. There are institutions that will take the IAF to the cleaners if they even dare to attempt such things. CAG reports are out in the public which detail all sorts of mistakes that the Armed Forces make which cost the tax payer money.

@MirageBlue

Right now The Score is 5 - 1 in Favour of Pakistan

Some body desperately wants a Tejas to crash to make it 5 - 2 😂
Because one jet has been flying forever in full operational form and in 4 times the numbers and operating hours while the other was sitting on semi articulated trucks with coconuts and gainde ke phool.

You cannot have crashes with what doesn’t fly

I know these facts , but still , for somebody to believe a Fake news , was a tad too low

I have always maintained that 1 crash per 10 thousand flying hours is Absolutely OK

The F-16 experiences a crash roughly every 12,000 flying hours, while its operational lifespan is typically around 8,000/12,000 flying hours. Since the JF-17 has a shorter lifespan of around 4,000 flying hours, we might expect its crash rate to be much lower than the F-16's. My estimate is in the 4,000-5,000 flying hour range, but it's important to note that crash rates depend on various factors besides lifespan and some expert can tell better as i am not an expert in this. Maybe an aviation safety expert would provide a more precise answer.
