The F-16 experiences a crash roughly every 12,000 flying hours, while its operational lifespan is typically around 8,000/12,000 flying hours. Since the JF-17 has a shorter lifespan of around 4,000 flying hours, we might expect its crash rate to be much lower than the F-16's. My estimate is in the 4,000-5,000 flying hour range, but it's important to note that crash rates depend on various factors besides lifespan and some expert can tell better as i am not an expert in this. Maybe an aviation safety expert would provide a more precise answer.

4000 Hours is a bit low Dont you think .
A typical fighter is flown 150-200 hrs a year
At this rate JF17 will need to be replace after 25 years in service
How many fighter jets does India assemble each year?

It depends on the fighter type

For Mig21 we manufactured 450 aircrafts between 1969 and 1984 ie 30 aircraft per year

For Su30MKI it took us 16 years to manufacture 182 aircrafts which is around 11.4 aircraft per year
For Tejas MK1A the target is to deliver 180 Aircraft in 10 years ie 18 aircraft per year

Anyone knows Tejas flying hours lifespan?

It is estimated at 6000 flight hours or 30 years , for Tejas MK1/MK1A

Though with MLU and refits we will manage to extract another 1500-2000 flight hours , similar to what we did with Mirage 2000V5 and Mig29upg

It might be the same with the JF-17. I just found this 4,000-hour figure through a Google search which could be from an old source. It's also possible I'm mistaken, Sometimes an aircraft's actual lifespan can be much longer than the certified number, especially when the fighter jet is relatively new. For example, an aircraft might have a certified service life of 3,000 hours after 9 years of service. So, this 4,000-hour figure might only be the certified service life of the JF-17 so far.

There has been no crash of Tejas.
One Tejas landed at Surat due to some issue. Some people are saying that it was a case of low fuel. Not yet confirmed.

This aircraft was on its way to jamnagar from Sulur

Their was issue with supply of fuel from the drop tank
Hence the aircraft landed in Surat

Spot on. You got the EXACT video from which that fake "Tejas crash" snapshot was taken.

So it was the Yak-130 of the Bangladesh Air Force that crashed and led to the death of 1 pilot and second one was severely injured. Then someone decided to create fake news and took a screenshot from that Yak-130 crash and uploaded it as a "Tejas crash"!

The level of misinformation on the internet! Even a moderator of this forum fell for that fake!

Indeed. That whole event in of itself is a whole other can of worms. I'm still trying to find out the fate of the surviving pilot, if he was actually the one flying the plane or if it was the back seater who had control and if he was the trainee or another pilot and they were out for a spin. And was that barrel roll permitted by the BAF or did he break protocol and if there was going to be an inquiry that would lead to a possible court marshal since it was obvioulsy the pilot's fault. Performing a roll at such a low altitude, in a trainer and then smack-belly-scraping the ground which led to the aircraft catching fire, the death of a pilot and its destruction. That's not a good thing and I would imagine there has to be some form of military judgement or ruling on the crash.

Because one jet has been flying forever in full operational form and in 4 times the numbers and operating hours while the other was sitting on semi articulated trucks with coconuts and gainde ke phool.

You cannot have crashes with what doesn’t fly
These operations mean generating maximum number of sorties in a 24-hours cycle. β€œWe have carried out our trials and we will be able to generate six sorties per Tejas per day for all the eight Tejas,” said the official, adding that these number of sorties were conducted on every Tejas during the exercise.

When was the last time the β€œso called” other jet was involved in high tempo exercise and surge operations?

It’s quite easy blabber around.

Pretty much every other year - and yes considering how much you blabber and shoot tangents or move goal posts it is pretty easy.
