Made in Iran Vafa mortar.

Specs
160 mm caliber
Delivers 10 to 11 Kg of TNT
Firing Range 20 Km

I wish Palestinians had this mortar in their arsenal. They could easily bomb Tel Aviv from west bank.

This is not the right thread for this. Iran makes the vast majority of its arms anyway. Better in the army and land thread.

Behind the engine say Overhaul
also the article say they didn't built the high pressure chamber completely also he talk about 33% completion of building the engine
every year we have to see claims that we finally reverse engineered the CFM-56

The Knowledge-based Company Manager stated: The reverse engineering of this engine has been fully developed in terms of design knowledge,

but for the prototype, it has had about 33% physical progress in terms of construction

Rezvani noted: After 7 years of continuous effort, we have acquired the full design knowledge of this engine; all the compressor blades of this engine are reversed and built; much of the combustion chamber components of the engine and the Hot Section section are also made. Manufacturing other side parts of the engine, including the motor control unit (FADEC), sensors, all kinds of precise measurement and control equipment, valves and neomatics and hydraulic and pumps, gearbox, data transmission system and cabling. . . It’s also finished.

Iran’s success in reverse engineering of passenger jet engine

Iranian experts, a knowledge-based company, managed to reverse engineering of the CFM56 jet engine as the world’s most popular passenger aircraft engine, a major achievement in the country’s air industry

Mani Rezvani, executive director of Iranian Engineering and Manufacturing Company, told Tsenim News Agency social reporter: The Knowledge-based Company of Iranians is one of the subsidiary of MAPNA Group and its main mission is to provide design, construction and repair services in the field of commercial air industry.

Rezvani stated: The formation of the basic core of this knowledge-based company started from about 1395 in one of the subsidiaries of the MAPNA Group, which was a manufacturer of rotary equipment; at that time the goal was to achieve technical knowledge of designing and manufacturing of passenger aircraft engine, so a team of academic elites and engineers led by Dr. Pourfarzane was formed and the work started with about 40 people.

The Knowledge-based Company Manager noted: The CFM56 turbofan engine was chosen as the team’s main project, the first step in the full reverse engineering process.

He continued: At present, this engine is the world’s most widely used turbofan passenger aircraft, and today it is the record-hour flight clock in the entire world’s airline fleet and is mainly installed in the Airbus family A319, A320 and A340s 4Motor and Boeing 737 classic and is serving airlines around the world.

He said: The design and construction of fan blades has also been fully implemented and now for all parts made we are obtaining a flight qualification certificate from the Civil Aviation Organization.

The Knowledge-based Company Manager stated: The reverse engineering of this engine has been fully developed in terms of design knowledge, but for the prototype, it has had about 33% physical progress in terms of construction, but in the mass production discussion of this engine, there must be customers. In the world and in the aviation industry, large companies such as Boeing and Airbus are the manufacturer of AIR FRAME or aircraft body, and none of them produce engine.

He continued: Leading air engines in the air engines industry include Rolls-Royce in the UK, GE and Pratt & Whitney in the US and Safran in France. The Engine discussed is the product of CFM International, which is founded as a joint stock between Safran (France) and GE Aviation (US) with a partnership ratio of 50-50.

Rezvani noted: The main core part of the engine is made by American company General Electric, the rest of the components, such as the Low Pressure Turbine (LPT) was designed and manufactured by Safran Company in France. Intellectual property and the final rating of the engine belongs to CFM International, a French-American duality company.

He said: Finally, the knowledge-based company of Iranians reached the point where it had to be separated from MAPNA; thus the company’s location was changed and we continued to operate under the title of an independent company; at the same time as the reverse engineering and construction of this engine, the issue of the CFM family repair began.

The Manager of the Knowledge-based Company stated: Currently, Iranians operate in three specialized areas including engine repair and accessories (MRO), engine design and engineering (DOA) and parts manufacturing (POA) and services to domestic airlines; the company’s organizational structure is fully designed in accordance with international aviation industry standards, and the company’s Statute has also been approved and approved by the Civil Aviation Organization.

Rezvani, referring to the strategic importance of achieving design knowledge in the field of air engines, stated: Today we are at the edge of technology and knowledge of designing and manufacturing of air turbine engines.

He said: If MAPNA Group wants to invest in the construction of a variety of passenger aircraft engines, the dimensions of this investment will be very large and requires real customers who are not possible at the present time inside the country and domestic airlines in this size cannot be ordered.

Rezvani noted: In the international market, we must also go on obtaining international aviation industry certificates for the engine that we need now to start this process, but God willing, we will definitely pass this stage.

The Manager of the Knowledge-based Company stated: At the moment we are investigating the communication and processes of obtaining the CFM Motor Family Repair from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The processes for the parts made by this engine are longer than the process of obtaining the engine repair certification due to technical complexities and aviation safety requirements.

He said: In this process, the sample performance of the parts made in the actual operating conditions of the engine must be fully evaluated to show that the built piece meets all design expectations and has the necessary competence and safety to install on the aircraft engine.

they should take $1 billion from national oil fund to create spin-off of this division from MAPNA to become a standalone engine manufacturer

they will not find customers for large civilian turbofan engines but they can still become regional engine powerhouse by producing advanced engines for LO drones, cruise missiles and future fighter jets
