i knew some RSS affiliated channels were crazy but tought India Today was more moderate.

Im dumbfounded after seeing that seemingly entire indian media spectrum is more or less a hindutva propaganda machine.

RSS and BjP has changed the indian society in a way that the whole society there seem to be in some kind collective psychosis.

Nothing of the kind. This is wild-eyed, jholawalla talk. The RSS has considerable influence, and among institutional representatives - the administration, meaning the civil service and the police, the judiciary, with people either scared of them or embracing them, even the armed forces has frayed around the edges.

But that does not cover India.

It does not cover the media either. The media situation is directly due to a series of planned take-overs in around 2014. So NDTV was bullied into selling to a crony capitalist, India Today, under Aroon Purie, was safely in the hands of a sycophant (who is currently desperately trying a mid-flight change of direction), Zee was under an RSS member, Subhash Chandra, Arnab Goswami was taken out and funded by Rajeev Chandrashekhar, a wanna-be who tried desperately hard to belong, and finally got a ministership, but lost it due to his losing his seat in the elections, and TV18 was bought out, like NDTV, by a crony capitalist. The Hindu remained independent, but has taken a low profile after N. Ram left the editorial chair in an internal family re-arrangement of portfolios.

As a direct result, YouTube, with people like Dhruv Rathee actively attacking the Sanghis, has become very important, and the Godi media have lost influence hugely, and are regularly mocked by their own interviewees.

Further, the Sangh Parivar has a small electoral footprint, and has had a distancing from the BJP, due to Modi thinking he could go it alone, without the RSS, so he was taught a sharp lesson. The man being what he is, he will double down, and that will hurt him more.

The mistake people who confuse religion with ideology make is to think that the people of India are interested in building the Ram temple, and in campaigns against existing mosques built on the sites of temples. They are not, besides either a lunatic fringe - Bajrang Dal, VHP - or the committed - RSS, their political wing, the BJP. People are interested in jobs, in reduced prices and lowered inflation, and in law and order. The BJP has failed in each of these, and its credibility, has been dented. It still remains powerful, Gujarat and MP are captive states, and they have to be fought carefully.

Bangladesh Hindu Mahajot Head Govinda Pramanik confirms no major vandalism against Hindus happened in Bangladesh. There were few incidents which involved Hindus, but those were because of their affiliation with BAL. Similar attacks happened on Muslim BAL leaders too. He accused Indian republic channel specifically.

This guy is essentially head of BJPs Bangladesh branch.

When a Bangladeshi Hindutva/BJP bhakt accuses Indian media of spreading rumours, that should give you an idea of how much propaganda Indian media had been spreading.

Bangladesh Hindu Mahajot Head Govinda Pramanik confirms no major vandalism against Hindus happened in Bangladesh. A popular YouTuber (along with a couple of unnamed people on Youtube) are supposed to be proof that the vomit which we see from Bharati media on a daily basis doesn't really matter. Apparently, Bhartis don't even watch any of this news, they're busy watching Dhruv bhai on YouTube! Someone should tell Bee Zay Pee they should stop pumping so much money into controlling the media, they've already lost since Dhruv bhai is on the scene!

There is no cure to Indian media’s propaganda machinery. Back in the days of Taliban they claimed that ISI was having secret meetings with Taliban at Serena Hotels 3rd floor, later only to be debunked by a Pakistani in the same show that Serena hotel only has a ground floor in Kabul and doesn’t even have a first floor.

The lies spread by Indian channels are not even funny anymore, just follow the credible sources and ignore these troll channels.

Every one does propaganda. US does it all the time. Israel was calling name of the days as name of combatant or guards. I doubt Pakistan will let any opportunity to do propaganda slip by. China was even mocking deaths in India during Pandemic. Its just how nations roll.

BD is by far the most tolerant nation in S Asia and also in the world as well.

Hinduvta India is projecting their own intolerance and violence onto BD as a form of propaganda both for their own illiterate and fanatical population and also for external, mainly western, consumption.

There are Hindus sitting in Bharat right now encouraging and inciting pogroms in the UK. If you follow the analysis of the average cowardly Bharti liberal, there is no possible explanation to explain why this is happening. In fact, the only explanation according to them will be that Muslims in Pakistan and Bangladesh provoked the Bharti enough that he feels cruel and sick enough to want to see pogroms in Europe against Muslims.

It's time for Bharti liberals to accept that Bharat is a sick and rotten country and that the cultural values they follow are responsible. SANATAN is directly responsible for every single division in South Asia and until Bharti liberals do not own up and dismantle it, we'll keep seeing stuff like this happen.

Can I come to BD and do a critical analysis of Quran and the Prophet? I see that being done of bible etc by university kids on a day by day basis in USA, Canada, UK etc.

Suffice to say the BD economy is

A) not going as well as the Hasina regime projected/asserted

B) fairly similar to the Indian and Pakistani economies in that attention is most focused/hogged on the 1% and 10% population to begin with....the 90% in all 3 countries largely live the same very materially poor livelihoods and are grossly ignored.

The economy of south asia is a stratified one and thus there are big voids and miscalculations when you do as required and focus solely on what accumulates at the apex for a chosen few to take decisions on for the larger whole.....and the distortions/games they play here to keep that easy street status quo.

I agree with the general theme above. The protestors are in the upper quartile of Bangladeshi society.

Population of Bangladesh = 171 million
College age population = 171 x 4/72.38 = 9.45 million
Actual college population = 1.5 million

Assuming the upper class go the college . It is the top 20% in college
1.5 million/9.45 million x 100 = 16%

Do not expect this to solve anything. Center right elements in society will co-opt the protestors or if they do not co-operate their agenda
