Let me make some extrapolations of this ship;
1.- Considerably smaller and has no wave-piercing bow like Soleimaini class. Another feature it is the very low freeboard in comparison with Soleimani class. So, in my oppinion it is not designed to operate out of the Persian Gulf, because those features makes it no that seaworthy like Soleimani (more oceanic).
Considering it's size and systems on it, it shouldn't be something too expensive for the IRGC-N to produce in numbers as a Fast-attack craft and coastal protection for incoming CMs if quantities are sufficient to play that role.2.- Designation. It is designed PC-313 instead of FS-313 of Solemaini class. So that seems a hint about the real profile mission of the ship. It is a patrol ship, not a frigate as suggest his name.
The jury is still out on what those canisters really are? If they are saying their is AD system on board, then it probably is some ATGM derived AD missile (but how to guide it though??)3.- No air defense. Kowsar missile (which has not been tested in any drill AFAIK) seems a natural evolution of the Almas missile (IR/TV guidance) but the lenght of the canister it is too short and the size too thick to think in a fast SHORAD/VSHORAD missile like AD08 Majid or even Misagh 1/2. Moreover, there is no presence or even space for a small air control radar like Soleimaini class.
I was thinking these would operate together, I don't think they'd create two types of catamarans without thinking of integrating them into a fleet structure. I would think they would operate in the PG and Gulf of Oman area to add an additional offensive and defensive anti-missile umbrella around the southern waters (where most incoming missiles would likely come from anyways)4.- Seems to have a continous radar wave antenna rear and over of the "S" and "X" navigation radar system. That suggest that the automatic gun system on the bow are radar guided, making it the first real CIWS system in the IRGCN ships. Moreover that gun seems to be a copy (where the hell IRGC got this???) of a Rheinmetall Lance 30mm turret... with airburst munition, which makes it very good against incoming threats like missiles, drones or helicopters... and much more advanced that the Kamand system.
Seems that this ship will operate inside PG, it is heavily armed for her size and can operate comfortably under the protection of the long range air defense systems. It seems to fit perfectly inside the doctrine of A2/AD of the IRGCN. But in any case, you can count only with one ship. Instead of 4 confirmed Soleimaini class corvettes. So you can guess what is the real interest of IRGC Navy (operating out of the PG).
these type of missiles have altitude limit so i guess they will have problem against Hale UAVs probably even Male onesKausar short-range air defense :
