PAF J-35AE - News, Updates and Discussions

Your own previous post with photo of J-35A in flight testing is one such piece of evidence.

J-35 for PLAN is in final stages of flight testing and so that bodes well for J-35A who will share radar, electronics and an almost identical engine with J-35

2027-2028 is still 3-4 years away and so those dates are realistic for PAF IOC.
I think a degree of history, reality and common sense needs to apply. Just like need is the mother of all invention, for a poor nation like Pakistan, need is the mother of every acquisition. If you look at the track record, Pakistan has always reacted to its far bigger rivals acquisitions to retain ‘ credible minimum deterrence’ at the lowest price possible. J-10 is a prime example, Pakistan felt the Rafale had damaged that balance, felt threatened by a neighbour who would love to be the regions Isreal, would especially love a whipping boy when the elections come round, so despite economic hardship Pakistan got the J-10 with generous Chinese help. Now you explain to me why a cash strapped country, who couldn’t even afford 2 full squadrons of J-10’s is so desperate to cough up for 5th Gen fighters urgently, when there is no such threat from India. Sure they are involved, may even have given some pointers for the export type eg engine preference, but even if it becomes available for export that quick, which is a big ???? In itself, my considered view is that they will take their sweet time ordering it, and will only do so when they need to. Just look up how many years the J-10c was in service/ available before Pakistan placed the order. However, everyone is entitled to their views, these are just mine, no offence intended.

What's this?
Why are there so many familiar IDs in there?
Why isn't my ID in there?

I can't use translation software to read what's in the picture.
My poor English tells me this seems to be a bet about the timing of the J35's arrival at PAF.
Well, I don't engage in that kind of activity.

There is no Chinese equivalent for google translate with the camera?

You hold the camera up to the text and the app translates it.

I am operating on a computer. Cell phones have this feature, but I'm lazy.
My terrible English can still read what this picture is trying to say.

I‘m a bit surprised that between option 1 & 2 there is a gap of at least one year (between January 2029 and 2030)!

It's either people are saying it will come before December 2028, and others are saying J31 will come 2030 - 2032. After 2032 we all know 5th generation will be introduced, either J31s, Kaan or a PakSpec 5th generation.

Since when are we sure that „the J35s with 6 prototypes already build“?

Confirmed are three with a fourth likely seen in green primer.

It's a big question mark if 5th or 6th prototype is flying. Even if 4 prototypes are built, we will witness 2 more and then j35s will be ready by the time Chinese 3rd aircraft carrier is here, which is around 2026. Ofcourse the land aircraft is different but people know j35 is very close so assumption is the land version must also be nearly ready, the timeline will be less as China will not be building a brand new plane but a land version of J35s, just like F35s have land version and navy version.
