Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Is it me or has it gone quiet by Iranian officials and state media? I see a couple of tweets by regular folks but I don't count them as sources. Last week Iranian officials were making it clear a response was coming but not anymore... is it just me?
They ain't going to talk about it every day or week, any more is obsession

They already made it clear they will respond, one or two times is enough

Qatar has given up playing the mediator between Hamas and Israel ..... something big is cooking .

Yes. As always.

What are you talking about?
Before P-2 Iran officials were talking a lot so much so Immortal was getting nauseous and before this week we had Iranian officials, state media and sources that are close to IRGC at least once-twice a week saying a response was coming.

I guess I just don't like quiet maybe things go back to normal soon.

Incorrect. Before TP II there was much much less talk than TP I. The current ‘silence’ is akin to TP II.

Remember that a lot of us here thought that by the end of August there would be no TP2.
You and I remember. Others have their memory kicked out on every event that exceeds their mental and emotional capacity . Yet we’re here on a ‘military’ forum. A subject requiring a steady hand and clear thought. No screaming allowed.😀

Alternative Chinese technological eco-system will be in place in the 2030s - semi-conductors and jet planes.

People do not appreciate the myriad of factors on how the US became so dominant.

I agree.

Many countries will prefer Chinese technology because they don't want to be held hostage to US sanctions.

No no, maybe just today no.

But if the foreseeable plans are just raise tariffs to china, european and latin american (ergo mexican ;) products... What could gonna happen with inflation?. And with competitiveness of the Economy?.

50 years ago US was a main exporter of some the better cars of the world, nowadays the only US car exported in meaningful numbers are Teslas models, and they opened or tried to open a factory in EU and China. What gonna happen to this company in new tariffs are imposed to competitors?.

Remember Boeing just fired last month 17.000 workers.

So, ok, maybe they won´t collapse tomorrow or in the next 5 years. But if the path it is that, black clouds are over the horizon.

US cars stopped being 'better' many decades ago. Japanese cars overtook the US auto industry in reliability, and European cars always had the edge on snob appeal.

US power will decline, relatively speaking, but many people have no idea how strong the US is in emerging technologies. Next generation nanotech, biotech, semicon tech, AI, robotics, etc, etc. In just about every area of emerging tech, the US is either leading by a margin or is matched by China.

Just take the example of fracking to extract oil. The GCC countries have had decades of head start and billions of dollars but what did they do with all that money? did they invest in improving the technology? getting more efficient? No, they spent their country's wealth to build idiotic tall buildings and to buy shiny toys. By contrast, the US invested in fracking technology and the tech keeps improving literally every year, so that the US is now the top oil exporter in the world using fewer sites.

The US is developing kamikaze microdrones the size of a mosquito. These drones will make 99% of the current security setup obsolete around the world.

No other country on the planet even comes close to US or China when it comes to emerging tech. Europe became irrelevant decades ago.

P.S. Any US collapse will come from internal societal issues, e.g. the polarization highlighted in recent elections.

That would be a mistake for military technology since no Chinese systems are combat proven.

Just because there’s a need to break away from the western grip in miltech doesn’t mean falling into unproven tech. Indigenous tech is the only solution . Otherwise you’re SOL.

IMO, Chinese miltech is , at best, good for TOT and not anything beyond that.

There are great examples of Chinese tech in all sorts of PROVEN industries but not miltech.

You are right that China has not been invading countries all over the place so their military tech remains unproven in combat.

However, China has left Europe in the dust long ago in almost every technology except, perhaps, engine tech. The only competition right now is between the US and China in terms of cutting edge technologies.

Pakistan has used JF-17 successfully in combat against India's Russian origin tech, but I will concede your point that Chinese military tech has not seen large scale combat.
