I remind you that the Turkish Air Force lost 100 F-35A Fighter Jets to replace F-4 fleet and 35 F-16 Block30s between 2018 and 2030

if no 100 F-35A then 40 F-16V and 40 Eurofighters
also Turkiye modernize 35 F-16 Block30s to block70 standard
150 F-16s will be modernized to block70 standard with Turkish Systems
and 79 VIPER modernization with American Systems


so until 2030 , 330 Fighter Jets with AESA Radars
-- 150 F-16 OZGUR with MURAD AESA Radar
-- 119 F-16V with American APG-83 AESA Radar
-- 40 Eurofighters with CAPTOR-E AESA Radars

so 40 new F-16V and 40 new Eurofighters until 2030 will prevent the Turkish Air Force from experiencing 10 year hiatus

Turkiye needs minimum 15 years to develop its own engine and brings it to a sufficient level and produce 100 KAANs with Turkish Engine

Thats not what he said, the KAAN being ready is a different issue from fighter numbers Turkey needs, with retiring aircraft. KAAN is a more expensive plane and the production rates for it will not be able to replace 100 aircraft in that short time.

Even if the KAAN is ready, unless they are ok with Fighter numbers falling or not retiring aircraft that were planned to be retired, there will be a need to supplement with aircraft, especially with multi role and Aircraft that can take Air to Ground aircraft. like the F-16 and Eurofighter.
