I m talking about meaning of the Chinese language, not English language. In Chinese , 中北is a school, 华北 is north China.

English name for that school = North University of China
Chinese name for that school = 中北大学

So at least for the school, they would have think North China translate to 中北, otherwise they would not name their school 中北大学, they would have named the school 华北大学.

Chinese universities give themselves funny name, like Beijing Normal University and BIT, no Chinese care about schools' English names, Chinese schools Chinese names don't always match the English names they chose for themselves. You can find many funny English translations all over China which can really blow your mind, cause people never care about English names.
I can tell you how Baidu works, Baidu just tells you 中北 is a school and 华北 is North China in Chinese language.

I admit that I have never heard of 中北 school, must be a very small school, if one says 中北，the first thing comes to my mind will be Norinco (中国兵器工业集团).
Then I googled, it seems 中北 could be Japanese language

Like I know?? You do know I spend 13 months in Afghanistan??

I studied Military Strategy in US National Defense University and was preparing for my rank in Westpoint before I got medical and served as a senior company grade officer in the United States Army, that qualify me to understand military. Not because I know how to shoot a gun. I wonder how many wars did you fight to make you an expert in the field?

And if you are talking about warfighting capability, you need to measure the capability in term of sustainment and engagement, not whether or not the war is stupid, ALL WAR ARE STUPID because one or both sides didn't do the easier thing to just concede/negotiate the other sides demand. If a war is stupid then it didn't count, then why do you have a military to begin with? Why not just always negotiate a way out of a war instead of having to fight it.
