Syrian Civil War and The future of Syria after liberation

My Pak friend told me something similar about the deals with Russia and Israel. Like you said it's very deep.
Your “Pak” friend seems to be very knowledgeable. It’s not Nazaz Sharif by any chance?

Syria was very important to Iran and Russia

It's not that complicated, if you want a BRICS type multipolar grouping then the major countries must feel it's worth it strategically, especially if they are expending resources, people etc to resist

Russia and Iran have done this and in coordination

But for how long?

If big boss china will forever be passive and inward looking why can't the others?

They will then in return for respite be asked to be not pro china let's say, I mean that's logical, Pakistan looks like it's already doing this with cpec

I am just posing a possibility here, that's it

That's why this becomes a blow for those who had big ambitions for brics, back to a talking shop
What do you want china to do in this case? Iran and Russia lost so much money and men to prop up a guy whose army didn't put up a fight.China is now in a financial war, a trade war and technology war with the United States, and has no other energy to interfere in Middle East affairs. Name me a single global South country that can help china in a technological war with the West? Answer is none. It's better for china to put it's resources where it matters for china own survival. All the weapons in the hand of Assad would be destroyed by Israel anyway.

Turkey has directly attacked Syria

Stop this nonsense, Did Iran Attack Iraq when it helped local groups in Iraq fight against ISIS?

No one can take you seriously if you say stuff like this.

The only time Turkey "attacked" in Syria was the FSA groups it was helping take back territory from the PKK.

And when it had to intervene to stop the Regime from emptying the nearly 3 million people resident there, of which 1.8 million of then were already Internally displaced from other parts of Syria. Assad's "solution" was to drive these people out of Syria and into Turkey, with Russian bombings and his own bombings. Turkey asked them to stop, they signed Astana agreement but then violated it and kept going, they killed Turkish soldiers in an airstrike, so Turkey hit back.

Yeah, leave the malaka on his own.

This time i'm very hopeful for the region. Erdogan is not acting mighty. Treating Syria as equals and it's very promising.

10-15 years ago, you might remember. He was acting like Khalifa and meddled in to Arab affairs. He tried to act like a big brother to Arab countries and they showed him the finger.

Now, it's very important to treat Syria as equals. This will have a positive impact on the rest of the Arab countries and relations between Arab countries and Turkey will go into positive.

Essentially, we need to treat Syria like how we treat Azerbaijan. Not bossing around but helping every way in our capabilities. This would show that Turkey is an equal partner and loyal ally.

From there everything is in reach. With Syria back in to fold. There can be a oil and natural gas pipe to Europe for example, more cooperation on defense matters, industry etc..

Future looks bright.

I agree completely. Arab countries and Turkey cooperating closely as neighbors has the potential to totally reshape the region for the better and for the benefit of the people in both Turkey and the Arab world.

We already see signs of this in terms of closer and closer military cooperation, investment, certain strategic projects etc.

KSA is also much more aligned with Turkey than earlier now that the religious establishment has been sidelined completely (more or less) and the focus is on industrialization, economic growth, tourism, attracting investors and partners and basically opening up. Something that Turkey can use to their advantage and vice versa. Just in the construction business right now, KSA has one of the largest combined construction projects in the world (projects worth 1.3 trillion USD). Similarly KSA and other wealthy Arab states can help invest in Turkish sectors that need funding and support to expand and improve. Vice versa.

There is zero need for any hostility if you ask me. I never saw Turkey as a threat at all despite whatever Erdogan said or told. No Arabs look at Turkey as a threat outside you know which lot and who they are allied with.

At the end of the day it is all about stability, economic and industrial progress and mutually beneficial relations and I strongly believe that Arabs and Turks, in this regard, should be natural partners.

I could say the same about Israel if they changed their behavior in Palestine and recognized Palestine. Maybe that day will come where we can all have close and cordial ties and stop the conflicts and waste of time.

I doubt it, regime was rotten to the core, their only organisational goal was to keep population unspoken and reign of family assad for some social tokens, no cohesion at all, rebels inherited carcass of the state and frankly if the turks, gulfies does not step in immediately with money and material support they will collapse sooner or later, they need umbrella ASAP.

Authoritarian Assad was already expecting a coup so everything makes sense now.

What is wrong with that?
Misak-I Milli shaped in 1919 September Erzurum Congress and accepted in the last Ottoman Parliament in January 1920. However Sultan signed Sevres treaty.

Nationalist forces didn't accepted Sevres treaty and begin fighting for independece for the Misak-I Milli border.

Misak-I Mİlli basically shows borders of Türkiye (there was not Türkiye at the time) that are consent to. We fought the independence war, liberated the lands the we could and gave up other territorial claims with Lausanne Agreement (July 1923).

Showing a map from 100 hundred years ago and saying Turks want to conquer these areas is idiotic. Turkey doesn't have any claims beyond it's borders except some very small Islands which is not decided on Lausanne Agreement about their soverignty.

full of shitty weapons which can not match with anything except attacking Syrian People

israelis destroying old jets and boats on the coast is not too much of an issue.

The real issue is to see if the ballistic missiles and how much of the air defense assets have survived.

Syria needs to adopt the Houthi/Hezbollah strategy, which is drones, Ballistic missiles and ambush air defense. coupled with everything put underground in deep tunnel networks.

Ah yes, after the rebels took Aleppo, she says that:

" after 100 years, the Turkish flag has flown over Aleppo, this is a great victory. "

It has nothing to do with your people interest in occupying Syria
Your lies have been exposed and you are not even slightly having shame don't you.

This is why our people will never get along with your people. No one can trust your words. Lying has become your trait.

All the most critical air defences went "offline" as soon as Assad fell and have all been destroyed.

Buk MRSAM, S-300 LRSAM and the ultra modern Iranian Khordad-15 MRSAM/LRSAM are all most probably destroyed.

These were the systems that meant the entity could not drop 2000lb bombs on Assad's head like they did with Nasrullah in Beirut.
