The Untouchables of India: The Millions Without Hope

as in above article, with the Middle-class ratio of India nearly 31%. today I discussed that the remaining around 69% people of India, mostly based on Agriculture, would be having annual income close to $5,000 on PPP, similar to LDC countries like Nepal-Myanmar as below

here i would say, the LDC country like Uganda with income around $3,600 would be having enough income level, say, to have a healthy and peaceful life like Nepal-Myanmar type LDC countries, along with the remaining 69% non-middle class of India, mostly based on agriculture :coffee:

.

=> here we have a news stating the total number of houses having built of sanctioned have exceeded 42.1 million+ ☕

No, I know, but this is a hard fact, and much though I find this kind of publicity distasteful and vicious, it is something that within India, all Indians, and savarna Hindu Indians three times as much as others, must feel responsibility for.

The greatest Indian tragedy.

@chinasun seems to have posted this in a vindictive spirit, but the facts are the biggest burden on present-day India; no point in shooting the messenger.

sir, how would you rate LDC countries like Laos-Cambodia nearing Per capita income at PPP close to $9000+, little short than India mention at $11,112? :coffee:

here, how many countries in world would be having free food program for poor, similar to or above India's standard, as mentioned below ☕

=>
Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) households and Priority Households (PHH) beneficiaries) for a period of next five years with effect from 1st January, 2024, as per their entitlement (i.e. 35 kg of food grains per AAY household per month and 5 kg of food grains per person per month in case of Priority Household).
.

=>

India to spend over $141 bln to extend free food grains program

India will spend 11.8 trillion rupees ($141.63 billion) to extend its free food grains program for the next five years :)

As far as untouchability in india is concerned I admit that it was a severe problem once upon a time. A shadow of it still lingers over entire south asia irrespective of religion.
However at least the issue is more or less solved in india ( at least constitutionally) by
1. Reservation
2.SC ST act.

PS : untouchability exists in one from or other all across the globe.

The usual suspects are crying a river over slum area development and rehabilitation.

This, given the actual conditions that prevail, is absolute rubbish.

Only constitutionally.

In terms of daily transactions, it is alive and well.

Except in some godforsaken hinterland It's barely there and is not exclusive to hindu community.
Godforsaken hinterland...hmm

This is why the region is depressing

Always burying problems or avoiding responsibility

If some community needs to come to the development ladder they actually need support not hostility, a bit more compassion not dismissal
