I don't think Bashar himself was selling that. And the nonsense I heard on TV today by a reporter "The soldiers are given these and are fearless in battle" etc.

That is what you and some others may think. But Syrians seem to be in a spirit of Let bygones be bygones and think of better life post-Assad. I have not seen any evidence of anti-Israel sentiment from anyone in government or ordinary Syrian. They are counting their blessings for having escaped Assad's gulag with their life and limbs intact.

Rest assured that they think the same but they are not stupid and devoided of the reality and needs of their own people, they can not jeopardize that as they would bring only destruction and genocidal campaign by jews and west if they rush into the battle.

I am Sunni too, this sectarianism bs is despicable and counterproductive. As a forum we should not meddle in it from a religious perspective, but it’s okay to discuss them from a political perspective I think.

I don’t care whether someone is Sunni, Shia, Ismaili, or Alawite. The differences are for Allah to sort out not us.

If a Sunni is allying with Israel and a Alawite is fighting and resisting Israel, the Sunni is a pos to me and the Alawite is more honorable.
