i would find Muslim population areas of India not bad. its not like you said. there is some difference but not like this......

in Lucknow city, the Muslim colonies i have visited were of good standard, i find Chicken shops were better than my colony. little bit poverty is seen in outer Hindu majority colonies also....

Hindus are certainly bit richer, but Muslim are near too :coffee:
Go to Canada the avg indian here is expected to be at fast food/warehouse/uber while I've seen pakistanis only in white collar jobs and some in uber. Go back 15 years ago you would of seen the opposite lmao. I went to Japan same thing go to any familymart/lawson/7-11 in any major city 7 out of 10 times its indian too. Outside of the US the quality of the indian dispora is going down.

Sad to see indians celebrating this. The people sending all this money are worth far more to the coutry than the paper they send back. Alas those who lack intelligence will support their own downfall.

I like to congratulate India for high remittances. Indian remittances help grow the Indian economy, As high remittances is correlated to high spending rate. This enable Indians to brag on PDF that Indian economy is based on consumption. And the source of the consumption is from remittances. As India is globally #1 and the undisputed superpower at remittances, this allow Indians to brag even more.

Why not? A lot of these 'remittances' are used to buy houses and invest in the stock markets. Nothing wrong with this money coming in.

NRIs buying property in Bangalore has completely messed up Indian real estate. Rents have shot up because these guys pay overboard for the property and then put it out for rent.

We could say the same thing in pakistan/eygpt/nigeria... etc this not just a phenomenon in India. Any country with a large diaspora has this issue lmao

Indian visas in the US are not given to taxi drivers but engineers and doctors. Indians the highest earning diaspora in the US. They are not sending 'sustainence money'. Ask @AjayGhatak about the size of his house in america.

It's disappointing you think that's all these people can offer. That's peanuts compared to what the professionals would do if Indian government could provide opportunities to these people so they would stay in India.

Relying on remittances for things like housing market inflation and artificial stock valuation is nothing more than sucking a pacifier and pretending you're getting nutrition.

Half of Pakistanis are US-Born while 1/5 are for Indians in this stat and immigrants usually and especially Indians pursue Masters and higher education thereby raising their avg income. Yes indians immigrate to US alot more than Pakistanis thats probably a systematic problem with receiving funding/loans for education in Pakistan (Overall larger lending problem imo). Indians have very easy access to school loans I myself wish to get to access to those types of loans as I want to pursue US master after my new grad rotations.

I don't subscribe to that logic at all. Sundar Pichai and Satya flooded India with billions of dollars in investments and jobs as CEOs of google. They also sustain the large knoeledge based economy India is building. Rajat Gupta helped set up Indian School of Business which is now ranked in the top 10 B Schools of the world.

Indian diaspora doesn't just 'disappear'. They have mostly helped the country move forward.

The brain drain doesn't really affect India as much for 2 reasons.

1. Because of a very large population there is a very large number of Indians with similar skills to take over

2. Those leaving are not the best in India. It's one level below the best. The best used to leave India back in 90s to 2010. Now the cream of IIT/IIM/other elite institutions stays in India. It's the one level below that goes out.

You got fooled by greedy psychopaths like pichai and Satya. To get to their positions they were willing to squeeze every ounce of productivity from any resource available - including indians. These are business people who would prefer dying to a bad investment. They know what they're getting out of indians is far more valuable than the chump change they're sending there.

I know indians in these companies and they are treated like cattle. If you think the diaspora offers more by leaving the country you are being fooled. They all know there is a deficit in their favor and they're milking it to the max, just like those who purchase houses and rent em.

Man what a load of bull$hit. I have worked for all those companies and no one gets treated like 'cattle'. It is intense, you need a lot of hard work and perforamance is usually rewarded. It has it's share of bad apples but not very common.

And if those 'greedy psychopaths' are 'taking adavantage' of India by flooding the country with billions of dollars and thousands of jobs- sure, sign me up.

You're just throwing a lot of nonsense like any arm chair theorist does.

Does the cattle know it's being well fed for milking? Why would a farmer do that? 🤔
