lol.
KSA and Emiratis will finish their job in Syria before mullahs in Iran decide on a plan.

Sooner or later Westerners will force a free election for sanction relief.
We shall see how they play their hand

There were a lot of Greeks in the Ottoman Army, the government, yet people are like 'OTtOmAn iMpErIaLiSm'

;)
Every time a Turk on this forum gets told, they go like "baaack in the Ottoman Empire...200 years ago....there was a time when..."

Best example is MMM-E often going like "400 years ago...this battle happened Turk won...300 years ago....Sultan blah blah make this.....100 years ago....British and French did that, but Turk did that"

The Ottoman Empire fell only a century ago, which is a mere blink in the timeline of history. That's practically yesterday in the grand scheme of things.

You are Greek, which makes you one of the least likely individuals to criticize those who draw on a real or perceived glorious past to navigate today's realities. After all, our current situation is shaped by our respective history. You of all people should know this, my 'ancient' friend.

Besides, I have a hard time understanding your very obvious double standard here. It's acceptable for you to highlight a few Sunnis within Assad's oppressive regime to exonerate the dicatorship, yet when others apply the same reasoning to justify Ottoman rule in Greece, it becomes unacceptable to you. How come?

Did Kurds agree to integrate with rest of country or they want to continue separatist politics ?

It's rather apparent there is a coup attempt against Ahmed Shar'ie and the rebels. No Arab leaders have met with him. No one is consulting them or pledging to assist Syria in its recovery stage. US didn't lift any sanctions on Syria yet. US didn't withdraw and enabled Kurds to occupy half of country.

Israel is ganging up on the opposition as well. While Iran and it's sectarian elements also jump to derail opposition rule of Syria.

Extremely misguided policy. Especially after being seen as having ran away from joining the Toofan Al Aqsa struggle of the Palestinains. It will put away any 'resistance axis' sentiment for good.

Look let me make something clear...I mean come on,we all knew the Syrian Baathist regime wasn't an ideal system of governing nor was it the best example of a free country. From the beginning of the war I've been saying it wasn't the best democracy, but if Assad fell there would be trouble for the Christians and Shia there.

Of course they had this dumb and outdated strict governing style since Hafez, that's similar to a junta. And they had very stubborn policies for decades.

But it wasn't a huge prison, like a lot of people think. It wasn't a place of terror. It was pretty nice compared to many other countries of the Arab world. And I believe that Bashar's problem was his family and that he had to keep the balances and keep them all happy. All the powerbase, the siblings and cousins.

Where did you get your reeducation? Half-million civilians tortured and killed, and millions exiled and a standard of living that makes sub-Saharan Africa proud is your idea of 'pretty nice'? I watched this yesterday:

Half million? That seems like an exaggeration. Standard of living that makes sub-Saharan Africa proud? Who the heck says all that? You could watch documentaries about Syria from the 2000s and earlier and see that it was a nice place. I used to know people from there irl. I've watched Greek travel programs who go around the world, visit Syria in the mid-2000s. It was ok. Sure it had problems. Yes,people seeing Hafez and Bashar portraits everywhere and propaganda slogans in every town was incomprehensible for us here, but in comparison Saddam's Iraq was terrifying, especially after the '80s.

Syrian Revolution 13 years on | Nearly 618,000 persons killed since the onset of the revolution in March 2011

Killed in the war,not 618,000 people executed.
Yes, killed in a civil war. More than ten times the casualties of Gaza war where Hamas initiated action against a sovereign state. i.e. more than Ten Gaza 'Genocides'
