All credible sources confirmed It is not a fighter bomber.
it may not even be the final version, possibly sixth gen is a whole package not just a single aircraft. no one at this point knows the exact standard to be honest. So it may not be the actual selected 6th generation fighter but one of two prototypes that are in competition between Chengdu and Shenyang.
This is super exciting and cannot wait to see the other one if that is the case.
By the way, do we have a hint on its designation? If I remember correctly, then designation J-20 was revealed quite early!

Please do not mention “Bai Di” in a real discussion of military equipment! Not sure what J-designation it will be given but the “6th Gen prototype” at Zhuhai was called Baidi: white emperor.

If we take the 10 strokes it takes to write that and add it to the J-20, could calling the new plane J-30 (as in plane for the 2030s make sense?)

shenyang flew today as well, quoteprobably not today, since it's already very dark in the north.
I know it’s a fake plane, I was taking about the designation may come from the plane being for the 2030s, and the 10 strokes added to the J-20 designation could lead to J-30.Baidi is fake plane from a novel... nothing to do with 6gen at all..
unlikely, I saw the video weeks ago, doesn't look like a jet, maybe a small model plane.
The daylight is just too short in the North, it's too dark for people to take anything, dammit.unlikely, I saw the video weeks ago, doesn't look like a jet, maybe a small model plane.
From AMRaad. A shot of the plane over the shoulder of a Chinese construction worker, kind of poetic.

Btw, this is less than 14 years since the “first” flight of the J-20. Chinese tech is advancing quickly.
