Chengdu J-20 5th Generation Aircraft News & Discussions

Here is to all that worship the West at the altar while at the same time discounting China's Achievement. As I said many times, the radar on J20 is way more advanced than F2.2 Here is Tp Huang's take based on this interview
China's frontline aircraft & naval radar use GaN MMIC as a Power Amplifier, while the US mostly uses GaA China achieved 119W GaN TR Module as early as 2008!
So J-20/35 Power amplifier modules (used for electronic warfare and radar) are 1-gen ahead of current APG-77/79/81 on F-22/18EF/35 due to American complacency

China's frontline aircraft & naval radar use GaN MMIC as a Power Amplifier, while the US mostly uses GaA China achieved 119W GaN TR Module as early as 2008!

America made a strategic error in not moving faster. While F-35 moving to GaN w/ APG-85China hasa major break thru w/ GaO MMIC

So J-20/35 Power amplifier modules (used for electronic warfare and radar) are 1-gen ahead of current APG-77/79/81 on F-22/18EF/35 due to American complacency at a time when America was ahead of China in 3rd gen semiconductor material.

Now that China is on par w/ Japan & ahead of America in 4th gen semi material (GaO & Diamond), it is also placing export control on Ga & Diamond to America.

It will have significant advantage in EW & radar over USAF aircraft in the future.Remember, my comments about PTMS on J-36, this is why it's needed. The advantage of 4th gen semi material in RF cannot be utilized unless there is enough electrical power & associated cooling & electrical system to support.

Thankfully for China, it is also world's leader in electrical system efficiency, power semiconductor, battery, high voltage systems & cooling. All this the result of its EV development obviously.

Everything is connected.ElectrificationRF & power 4th gen semiHigh power EW

What do you think? The first J-20A in grey?

It looks at least reasonable but we have seen psed images before! 🤔

Not only the first A in grey, but even more so a new one numbered 2057!

According to the annual announcement released by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) on January 1st, Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group (Chengfei) has exceeded its military aircraft production and delivery targets for 2024, achieving the "2323" balanced production goal for the sixth consecutive year. (The "2323" here likely refers to the quarterly production distribution of 20%, 30%, 20%, and 30% of the annual output, respectively.)

meaning that there is still 20% production capacity saved, more than 100 in 2024?

只有飞行员知道,我们每一年看到的歼-20都不是去年的样子
Only the pilots know that the J-20 we see every year is not what it was last year .

The implication of the message is that the J-20 has been constantly upgraded.

AVIC's official Weibo account released photos of the J-20S model.
We can take a closer look at its details.
