I have often said, Jimmy Carter was the last truly moral American President. It has been increasingly more and more inapt and pro Israel Presidents especially after George H. W. Bush.
And as America mourns Carter and discussing his legacy, quite conveniently his strong support for Palestinians and his strong criticism of Israel is being ignored!! Carter faced a lot of heat and was even called some kind of Arab stooge, on Arab payroll, an Anti Semite due to his strong criticism of Israel. He even wrote a book calling Israel an 'Apartheid' state.

Are you personally surprised by this Israeli behavior or did you always view them to be this extreme? I always seen them as cynical sadists because I've been following the conflict for awhile. But wonder if others and the international community are going through shock or not....

honestly I did not expect their operation to be this severe or long. at the start there were even some doubts about whether Israel would launch a ground invasion at all. but this is not new, they have a long history of mass war crimes across the region, just look at 1982 siege of Beirut

never before did we see such a stark contrast between Western leadership and the people on this issue, really showed how far they are willing to go for Israel

I also watched the Bibi Files documentary recently. his corruption case is very strong (lots of key witnesses who were former allies of Bibi agreed to testify against him). his legacy will be ruined, although what a shame it will be because of bribery rather than genocide.

Hamas' operation had many excesses but on the whole was a very well planned and executed mission. Israel would spin it to create ridiculous lies no matter what Hamas did, and we know about their 'influence' in the media that helps them peddle those narratives from the start.

Imagine telling people they need to support genocide because one ISIS (Mossad) brainwashed person killed 10 people. That this means they need to support the killing, torture, and displacement of hundreds of thousands of people that have absolutely nothing to do with the person that committed the crime.

To be honest, Pro-Palestinian US civilians who want to pressure US Gov to stop weapons supplies to Israel and punish it for genocide are better off performing Mass Strikes and Canada-style peaceful sit-in blockades then calling for violence.

Calling for wanton violence in unrelated areas would just play into the hands of Zionists.

But a strike needs to be massive to have any effect. Estimates around a minimum of 15% percent of the US population need to participate in such a strike to have some effect on the US economy to put pressure on the US Gov to stop supporting Israel.

Resistance such as this is ok.

However, to hold a massive rally in NYC calling for an intifada just hours after a terrorist attack in New Orleans is tone deaf.

Whoever has been leading the pro-Palestine marches in NYC is not doing Muslims any favors.

For six months, I have been posting occasionally the best way to reach Americans is through something like Gain Peace, not protesting or disrupting the lives of ordinary Americans who we need to understand world events.
