Based on Mohajer-6, I estimated that bigger Qaher has a length of 7,7m and a wingspan of 5m

That means that UCAV is 2 times smaller than F-16

They said that this UCAV is 60% of the original Qaher and this means that the original Qaher is roughly 12,8m in length and has a wingspan of 8,3m which makes it roughly of the same size as F-16

What a laughable PR-stunt!
They show a fancy looking model of a UCAv and fly a cheap RC model.
The drama is that these cheap R/C models work great over Ukraine......time n again and the F-16's recently delivered remain grounded due to an unacceptably high risk of getting shot down in under two minutes.

Let they laugh. For testing air operations and deck crew those are more than good.
I would like to know if Qaher has a turbofan engine enough mature for hundreds of hours lifespan and reliability enough.
Qaher was supposed to be built with two owj engines. The 60% version is probably with a owj engine and the 20% version is probably a model of Toloue engines.

My bet (just speculating) it is a Jaesh 700.

I wouldn’t have released this footage. RC toys taking off a “carrier” ramp.

They shouldn’t have released this footage.

If they are worried about operators training with 60% scale drones and crashing into water then they should have built a replica on land to train. Not sure what experience they gain from a 1/3 mock up.

I remember when RQ-170 was finally unveiled, Hajizadeh said they crashed over 10 drones trying to perfect the design. But I assume you wouldn’t need to crash that many Qaher to learn to fly it off a deck.

Do you think the 20% version is for practice? It seems that it can carry Qaem bombs or Almas missile or make a suicide attack

Yes it’s for practice to learn to land and take off on a moving deck. They showed a similar RC drone 12 years ago when mock up was revealed.

I assume they are testing the signal strength of drone operator with drone on open water in a heavy interference environment (Hormuz).

Remember Iran doesn’t have satellite or military satellite for precise coordinates. So it has to use ground stations to communicate with drones and maybe GLNSS in peace time.

At the end of the day all these drones are limited by the ground operators range which is less than 250KM given the limitations of radar and curvature of earth.

Again I wouldn’t have released this footage until 60% was taking off the deck. It’s just going to be used by Western MSM to make Iran look backwards and incompetent.
