Again, how do you manage to have Ukraine concede to this damand?
You aren't going to have Ukraine drop this by just taking 20% of far east Ukrainian land, NATO is protection for Ukraine, that's the entire country depends on it, if NATO offer them membership in exchange for Ukraine just give the Russian Donbas, they will jump into this arragement.
For Ukraine, Donbas mean nothing, NATO mean everything, because you can stop this war, but as long as they remain independent, you cannot stop Russian aggression which mean NATO membership is paramount. If Russia stop Ukraine from joining NATO, that's the same as Russia asking for Round 2 of this war. You might as well conquer Ukraine, that would be easier to do that than to ask the Ukrainian to drop the NATO ambition, at least when Russia only holding 20% of Ukraine.
As for Russia coming out stronger? Well, the economy of Russia is already telling you, no. And it's gonna be that for a very long time way after this war is done, the damage is already done, and the economy is going out of control, if any country present a plan to raise interest rate to 20% and they still can't kerb the inflation, that is some serious economic problem, and that won't change even if Russia win the war with Ukraine, because that was the direct result of Western Sanction, and even Trump can't pull the US sanction already in place because that was done via a bill from the congress. Unless sanction is gone with the war is over, Russia economy will continue to suffer. That's a fact.
