Zagros is very useful because from the distance she can record frequencies and beams of radars and communications, allowing IRI armed forces to access fresh and new information for effectively develop ECM and ECCM techniques. So Zagross is really effective and hurt them , we need greater , better and more this types , I think 4-5 vessel is enough ...
we cannot build nothing in fear of losing them in war with our enemies ....Creating more surface vessels is providing more targets to USN or even IAF. IRIN/IRGCN need submarines, more and heavier the better.

The Structure of Besat is ready, the engine is ready, sonar and other electronic parts are prepared. They were supposed to unveil it but as it seems scientists have proposed navy with updated weapons systems hence the delay. Its called strategy or common sense (in easier terms) to understand enemy strength (air power) and avoid challenging them in the domain they can beat the crap out of you i.e. USN, USAF, IAF, NATO firing salvos of AShCM at IRIN, IRGCN surface vessels. Unless Iran itself had fighter jets at sea using aircraft carriers or had such a large fleet of air-superiority fighters that could jump out of underground bases to provide air-cover for the surface fleet, the idea of only investing in surface vessels while neglecting submarine force is typical IRI characteristic illiteracy/buffoonery. Why is 4 x Fateh are not already made? what happened to Besat?
Emirzad. Agreed that any Fateh it is much valuable militarily than another light Mowj frigate. For naval warfare a medium submarine it is much better. But you cannot neglect even light surface combatants (either corvettes or frigates). You have SLOCs, as you are trading with other countries, even in other continents. And for that freedom of action (and commerce) you need to be capable to ensure the IRI freedom of trade and for that you need military surface vessels. For covering most of the Indian ocean even reaching south africa, Soleimani class would do it. But for overseas navigation (assuming one day IRI would need to escort naval convoys with oil or other vital raw materials) you need a frigate, and better if it is two or three destroyers. Anyway if it will be any combat clash in the PG or out, Fateh it is much better than another Mowj. Its called strategy or common sense (in easier terms) to understand enemy strength (air power) and avoid challenging them in the domain they can beat the crap out of you i.e. USN, USAF, IAF, NATO firing salvos of AShCM at IRIN, IRGCN surface vessels. Who said USA is our only adversary!?Its called strategy or common sense (in easier terms) to understand enemy strength (air power) and avoid challenging them in the domain they can beat the crap out of you i.e. USN, USAF, IAF, NATO firing salvos of AShCM at IRIN, IRGCN surface vessels. Because without America instigating a war all others won’t actually go to war with Iran even israel won’t go to war with Iran unless they are sure America will back them upWho said USA is our only adversary!?

I wish we could add radars to these ships as easily as you doIn addition to the changes compared to what was mentioned in the article on ‘X’, from the photos published during the repair and modification phases, on the latter it can be seen that
1) they have already closed the second opening that had been made in the hull to simplify the work of removing the internal equipment to be replaced from the hull, thus the internal work to reinstall large equipment, such as the diesel propulsion engines and diesel generators.
2) At the stern of Sahand, the openings previously present under the old helicopter deck have been closed with metal plates, thus creating an enclosed interior environment that is no longer subject to splashing or flooding by sea water when it is stormy.
3) In blue, this metal plate has been added, which, in continuity with the ship's superstructure, will undoubtedly serve to strengthen the strength of the new flight deck (to be understood as where the 324 mm TLSs that were previously positioned there will be moved)

Today I played with pictures using the latest published photos as an example.
What the Sahand might look like after the repair and inversion of the helicopter deck/armouring aft of the ship.
While I was editing the image I installed the VLS in the bow
