Syrian Civil War and The future of Syria after liberation

I am surprised he elected Al Rifai as grand mufti. Majority of Syrians are Sunni Sufis like Turkey, Ahmed Sharaa the President and HTS are wobbly though.

To be fair he has never commented on Aqeedah matter. But HTS does have Asharis Shafis on their Shura council, so its not really all that surprising one would get the position especially when the Majority of Sunnis in Syria are largely mainstream Shafis, and this guy is also an Ashari Shafi, and was quite popular with the Syrian revolution, so this would not cause controversy since he is the one picked, if it was someone lesser known and the guy was salafi that might cause unneeded drama, also I don't think he picked him on his own, there was a vote in the Shura council and this guy was nominated.

President Al Sharra listened to him and told him the Minister of Agriculture is from you.

Bashar would have disappeared him and his family for daring to embarrass him by shouting at him at a public event.

The most comprehensive report on the new Syrian government, a deep analysis and definition of ministers
===============

The formation of the new Syrian government carries with its folds important indications about the directions of the next stage in Syria.

The Headquarters for the Liberation of Al -Sham dominates 80 % of sovereign ministries, and 28 % of administrative ministries.

13 of the ministers are completely renewed in a government position. And 6 their bags changed. And 4 keep their previous positions.

Scientific qualifications of ministers are qualitatively: 26 % have a PhD. And 30 % have a master's degree. And 43 % have a Bachelor's degree only.

About 33 % of ministers engineers, 27 % politicians, 20 % doctors, and 20 % economists.

Half of the number of ministers studied outside Syria. A third of them worked in international organizations. And five of them received international awards and appreciation.

All ministers are experts in their specialization: 43 % academic. And 36 % international organizations. And 21 % held previous ministerial positions.

Medium ages: about 43 years old. The oldest ministers: the struggle of the feeling is 69 years. The youngest ministers: Asaad Al -Shaibani, 38 years old ... 35 % of the ministers have the name Muhammad.

The final analysis of the places of birth and origins of the new Syrian government ministers shows a distribution that confirms:

1 Centrality of Damascus: the continuation of the capital's role as a center for political power (39.1% of the ministers).
2 Acknowledging the opposition areas: Granting a strong representation of the northern and east regions (39.1% combined).
3 Re -distribution of influence: The representation of areas such as the Syrian coast declined.

This distribution shows an attempt to build a consensual government that combines continuity (through the role of the role of Damascus) and change (by integrating the opposition areas), which may be a basis for a transitional stage aimed at achieving national reconciliation and reunification of the country, while preserving some of the traditional central power structures.

March 30, 2025

Daraa Governorate: Local gunmen shot down an Israeli "Drone" reconnaissance plane while flying in the sky of the town of Koya in the western countryside of Daraa, in a development that reflects the escalation of security tension in the region.

The sky of southern Syria is witnessing an increasing activity of drones, in light of the continuation of the state of anticipation and security tension, which is filled with Daraa and its surroundings.

It is noteworthy that the Israeli forces arrested eight people from the village of Koya while they were working on agricultural lands near the Yarmouk Valley, west of Daraa.

They want to play stupid games, they will win stupid prizes.

Yes,the Israelis can't take parts of southern Syria just like that and bomb positions of the Syrian Army whenever th.....oh,you're talking about Kurds?

PKK, don't insult Kurds like that.

Turkey will intervene and destroy the PKK for not integrating into the Damascus govt and coming under the authority of Damascus. There is an agreement with Damascus regarding the PKK going back decades.

Please familiarize yourself with the Adana Agreement.

Yes, Turkey will dismantle the PKK and then hand the area to Damascus, as Afrin was handed over to Damascus.

This all depends on the PKK thought, if they agree to disband on their own and hand power to Damascus then Turkey does not need to intervene.

The South is already integrated btw, even Suwayida, despite the best efforts of the Zionists trying to stir BS up there..

Only when Trump will give the green light, like in the last operation where he gave the green light in a phone conversation with Erdogan but after 10 or something days pressured Turkey to stop because of the immense media attention and Kurdish lobby in the Congress/Senate.

The operation against the PKK will start again AFTER a phone talk with Trump, not without.

There are pro-Trumpian leaders and anti-Trumpian leaders.

Erdogan is clearly pro-Trumpian.
