Interesting wonder why use transporter trucks to change the location of those wheeled vehicles.

The case of missing S-300s continues!

@Hack-Hook @Persian Gulf

we see Meraj-4 radar being deployed across Iran but without Bavar-373

and we see testing of using Bavar-373 FCR with s-300PMU2 launchers

I hope they will start to deploy Bavar-373-2 batteries to the areas with Meraj-4 radars in the coming months

maybe the wheeled vehicles themselves have limited range (deigned to enable them to move within a certain area, not to a new area) given the weight of the equipment so they need dedicated trucks to take them longer distance

transport flights would be better to preserve secrecy over these transfers

It’s standard protocol to move heavy military air defense equipment by transporter for safety and effiency.

Doubt wheeled Iranian air defense systems like 3vome Khordard are made to drive long distances at any meaningful speed (ie > 45 mph) let alone highway speeds.

Those true are supposed to have a range of 500-600 km.
But I agree about transport air planes such il-76

Also saves wear and tear especially on the delicate electronics of the radars and missiles.

Why would Iran want to deploy mobile S-300s to known fixed locations instead of deploying them in the countryside and keep moving their locations? If nothing else, it would make sabotage via small drones harder to achieve.

Meraj series AESA Tracking radars are one of the most successful and reliable component of Iranian IADS. Even more than 30N6E2 of S-300PMU2.
