Difference is this COAS. He should be a blueprint for all future COAS. No more Bajwa and Kayanis. This is the only way to do deal with bullies.

Modi gives army ‘freedom’ to respond to Kashmir carnage – media

The Indian leader has authorized the military to decide the mode and timing of any armed response to Pakistan

@Quwa

enlightened us with your take on current situation?
tbh this current tension isn't anything new. We've had this before. The bigger story is the fact that India is threatening Pakistan's water interests.

This is huge, but not for the reasons India might think.

India's thinking about starving the Pakistani population or crippling the economy, but I'm seeing the landed elites worry about losing their billions in long-term fortune.

So, all of a sudden, these elites (who've tolerated or supported the military's hand in the political affairs of the country) have become an active player.

Their prosperity -- if not their existence as elites -- is now tied to an external security issue. IMO, this can be a huge deal if the landed elite opt to put pressure on the Army leadership to figure this water security issue out.

How that happens is the thing we need to keep an eye on: Will they capitulate and try bringing in the UN, international courts, etc, to advance the case? Or will they take on a hawkish approach and confront India directly?

If the latter, then the concept of "credible minimum deterrence" will shift towards 'power projection.' Each service arm, especially the Army and Air Force, will start pursuing major offensive platforms, and look for ways to engage in offensive operations at scale.

And the money to fund it will be there. The landed elite contributes like 20%+ towards the GDP, but like less than 1% towards tax. The price for survival never looks steep.

Please, not this idiot.

Ye shakas jo bongiyaan marta hai. 6er pay 6er.

He may do bongiyaan but atleast he belongs to the true Pakistani side which the nation of Pakistan choose in elections. Anyways when it comes to defense matters, EVERYONE is same and they all lack basic knowledge. It will sound bongiyaan no matter who we listen these days.

Wow, for them to conduct this visit and CAS meeting them during PAF's highest state of alert sends a very clear message to India.

Am now 100% convinced Turks are helping us militarily

They need to stop copying what our DGISPR said in 2019. Get some original material, they have copied our best songs, and now they are copying the dictum of our DGISPR.
