Chengdu J-10 Multirole Fighter Air Craft News & Discussions

I just analyzed the possibility of exporting this production line based on the J-10C production line situation. It is not limited to Pakistan, but also includes other possible prospects.
I do not see better prospect from Pakistan for at least couple reasons marketing, close relations with muslim world and most important one, training and setup of human infrastructure for potential customers.

I will not make a judgment on whether Pakistan will introduce the J-10CE production line. This is a question that needs to be considered for PAF and PAC.
It is technical issue easy to solve if correct signal comes from political leaderships particular chinese one.
Objectively speaking, my personal suggestion is that PAC abandons JF-17 and introduces J-10CE production line, which is a good plan. If JF-17 and J-10CE are produced at the same time, the PAC may be difficult to support.
Agree, eventual pride from pakistani side should be put aside in favor of practicality and overall perspective and possibility for gaining new knowledge and skills.
I've reiterated it many times.
"Free things are the most expensive things."
You don't seem to understand the truth and logic here. You can try to learn more. Then, you will never ask such questions or requests again
It is not free, look it as long term investment with solid prospects for fast and good ROI.

Its suitable for Pakistan as well, to stop Jf17 block 3 production and start J10CEs, we already have 150 Jf17s, if we can produce 80 J10CEs, with 75 F16s. The total fighter will be 325 4th 4.5++ fighter jets. Paf will then be ready for 5th generation J35s. Not sure why Pakistan is trying to make PFX fighter jet which is 4.5+++++ jet, it better to stay with J10CE and J35.
As for how Pakistani friends describe JF-17B3 and J-10CE, this is your point of view.

In the formal and relatively rigorous description of the Chinese official agency, the J-10C is a 4th-Gen fighter with avionics level close to the 4.5th-Gen fighter.
Its meaning is very clear. In the official and rigorous title, it is not what we think of as a 4.5th-Gen fighter. Chinese people generally believe that the J-10C is a 4.5th-Gen fighter, but it is the worst fighter of all our 4.5th-Gen fighters.
As for the JF-17B3, we were "polite" to think it was a 4.5th-Gen fighter.

As for how Pakistan chooses, this requires internal decisions from Pakistan.

This is an internal matter of Pakistan and we will never interfere. We just provide an option to Pakistan, and the decision of how to choose is in Pakistan's hands.
The Chinese government will never interfere in its internal affairs. This is our bottom line!

Regarding whether the J-10C production line can be exported. This is just my speculation, please be cautious!

Well if Pakistan express its own wish for such project and address it to China, it automatically becomes chinese political issue too.

Come on! I'll show you Pakistani friends the J-10 carrier-based fighter jet that you've never heard of.
This is not a work of art by military fans, this is official information.
It's just that this was a former plan and has now been cancelled. LOL.

Yes, there is a dedicated thread for them. If you are interested, you can go to that thread to discuss.

Continuing JF-17 Block 3 production for export will generate valuable revenue. There’s a strong market among smaller nations in Central Asia, Africa, and South America. At the same time, we can’t shut down the production line entirely as our own Air Force fields around 30-50 of these jets and will need spare parts and ongoing maintenance. In short, we should push the program forward to meet both export demand and our own needs until there is a replacement. PAF should transition to newer, stealthier platforms like the J-35 and PFX/Kaan to replace older JF-17 and F-16 blocks within the next few years. The J-10 was originally a stopgap response to India’s Rafale purchase, but its success now supports expanding procurement to phase out the remaining Mirages.

The CCTV-produced documentary “The Legend of J-10” was publicly broadcast today. It gives a complete review of the J-10 fighter's arduous development, as well as notes on many rumors about it.

Is there any friend who can make English subtitles for it?

China has 600 J 10 A, B, C in operation, which is about right

The J-10A is already in the queue for gradual decommissioning. Very little exposure in recent years.
It was previously rumored that North Korea might take delivery of these retired J-10A, but nothing official, just rumors.

There are very few J-10B. Some of them are converted to J-10BG.
The J-10BG are generally less easy to distinguish from the J-10C because of their minor cosmetic differences.

The J-10S (also known as the J-10AS) gets a lot of exposure.

So, the total number of J-10 series fighters actually used by PLAAF is about 400-500.

This is the beauty of Chinese equipment, any losses in war can be made up from PLAAF stocks quickly if need be
