PAF SAM based Air Defense System - News, Discussion & Updates

AM Aamir Masood (retd) speaking on ARY news tonight, disclosed some interesting information about PAF radars:
1. Azerbaijan Armenia conflict was closely watched by PAF.
2. Present leadership took the threat of drones to over whelm and take control of the sky very seriously, and took steps.
3. Normal radars reject drone tracks.
4. We inducted modern radars that can pick-up these drones.
5. The radars cover all borders. North-sout-east-west.
6. There are redundancies, there was news of lahore radar going down.

There was an audio posted here multiple times which claimed that we did not use our radars on drones because India was sending these drones as a detection device to identify radar locations which could then be targeted.
 
the problem I have with fully integrated air defence is that our air force is operating greatly without having to worry about air defence

it increases the chances of a own kill and pilots and this adds extra complication

no doubt we can train them but I am left wondering if this will limit our pilots ?

will it cut our operating envelope and mean they all be less aggressive ?

a full integrated air defence + air force network costs billions is this a good investment ?

is it not better to use that money to train to pilots and raise more squadrons ?

Are you seriously suggesting to not get any air defence because you fear your own planes will be shot down? 🤦‍♂️

Very useful for shooting down satellites, S400 missiles and Indias SRBM/IRBM fleet. Not an answer for Brahmos, but good addition to the pack.
