Lots of content in this video is used as fillers, so these contents in the video are of generic nature not necessarily mean what was shown is meant to be taken as validation or confirmation.

In my opinion only the following screenshots were of any importance.Screenshot_20250413-155611~2.jpgScreenshot_20250413-155854~2.jpgScreenshot_20250413-155916~2.jpg

PLAAF HQ22 FCR at last years exercise. Full battery was airlifted to rafuiqi. Now with HQ22 in PAF vid is interesting nevertheless as before PAF DGPR was using shots of S400 to show HQ9BE, so doubt they r using FK3/HQ22 to show HQ9BE. But given PAF is also Interested in HQ16FE wouldn't make sense for them going towards FK3, unless they scrap the FE totally.

It could be that the units the PLAAF decided to send to Shaheen X just happened to use the HQ-22.

Afaik except HQ22 no other Chinese Mid to long range SAM is airlift capable due to fairly large TEL width and length. The HQ22 adopts much smaller dimensions for its TELs which sort if set it apart from HQ16/HQ9.

Even these are not that important because if you hear the commentary this is all what CAS "Desired" during the meeting and we have no idea how his desire was taken by Chinese side. China would love to sell big ticket item but let's address the elephant in the room and that's Economy!

Is HQ22 just a cheaper HQ9?

IMO... It's possible that some, if not a lot, of the CAS' visit to China involved him asking for controlled industrial technologies.

The apparent intent behind Project PFX is to, basically, fully manufacture the JF-17 in Pakistan. However, the necessary tooling isn't just available for sale; it requires getting higher levels of approvals from the Chinese gov't.

This would unlikely end up in the PAF"s hands directly, so they likely opened the subject of AVIC investing in NASTP so that (1) a complete fighter actually gets built in Pakistan but (2) China still exerts control over its technology via owning a part of the production plant.

This has always been the aim too so it makes sense, remember with CPEC SEZ's to produce NGFA's jointly in country. Perhaps this is something coming to fruition

or may be asking for tot to learn items for single engine PFX build on JF17, for that asking Chinese friends to share all JFT manufacturing so that it could be used as base for an advance near 5th gen JFT for PFX project.
