J35 money but no destroyer money nice. Don't ignore navy your trade lies through sea. Buying j35 when india dont have any such platform and not buying platform which we don't have and India has many have some common sense.

Its about pick and choosing Pakistan is the underdog against thr world third largest defense spender..any asset that can be targeted via a saturation attack csn become a liability

Look at Israelis, ukrianians and learn from them

Navy wise i would only invest heavily in submarine and nuclear deterant force

My focus would be air force, air defence, deterant stand off missles, drones, submarines that can hit behind enemy lines and ECM

Robots are coming soon 10-20 years and things are going to change

This topic has been discussed on forum previously that PN is eyeing relying more on submerge fleet like submarine so this will be a good strategy too we ordered 8 type 39C that was great but we should order more or get partnership with turkey to make milden class subs at karachi port at least 4. Still if i was PN chief i would be eyeing total 6 destroyers for PN fleet 4 from China and 2 from damian shipyard. if you want to save destroyers money then we should lease one nuc sub from china and move in the direction of nuc subs till 2040 at least three operational for assured second strike capability and no longer a silent service.
 
The Frigate and Corvette have continued to grow which is good

I think once the 3 Babur Class Corvettes will be commissioned, it would be good news
These are tangible items in near future

Not expensive mindset is the key. Our focus has always been PA, PAF. Navy is always been neglected when in recent conflict gobar arya said set fire to karachi port made me so angry because they will eye this then you will wake up. Even these new procurement were thanks to China to able to protect cpec otherwise i don't think navy would be given that much. PN is slowly at least doing something like JCF thats why i don't blame navy they are doing best in given funds.

Perhaps if the PN goes for the Type 054B Frigates, but instead of the current VLS, asks for the UVLS, it will fill the need for a reasonable price. Fitting 350-450 km range HQ-9 variants on the Type 054B and 160 km HQ-16FE on the Type 054A.

Two key improvements to the design could give us near destroyer level capability, switch the engine to the CGT-40 gas turbine (42MW) and for a four panel radar design based on the radar current used on the ship.
