TOTAL of nine Bell AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters ordered by the Pakistan Army Aviation Corps are currently in storage with the 309th Aerospace and Regeneration Group (AMARG) at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona. Pakistan had ordered 12 Vipers, with options on a further three, but delivery was halted after US President Donald Trump suspended all security assistance to the country.

At the end of March, Pakistan AH-1Zs stored at AMARG comprised 786-061 (FMS BuNo 169248), 786-062, 786- 063, 786-067, 786-068 (FMS BuNo 169375), 786- 069 (FMS BuNo 169376), 786-070 (FMS BuNo 169377), 786-071 (FMS BuNo 169378) and 786- 072 (FMS BuNo 169379).

A further three, 786-064, 786-065 and 786-066, are stored elsewhere at an unconfirmed location.

The first two Vipers had arrived at AMARG by July 2018 and the remainder by October, although precise arrival dates are unknown. All are now progressively being covered in protective coatings for long-term storage. Dave Allport

PAKISTAN HAS ordered a further five Mi-35M attack helicopters, according to the country’s army officers and Russian officials attending November’s International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) in Karachi.
The Mi-35Ms will reportedly join four examples previously ordered; these were originally believed to have been delivered to the Pakistan Army Aviation Corps by August 2017, but it appears they eventually arrived in the country last April before officially entering service in December.
The Pakistan Army’s Hind operating unit is 4 Army Aviation Squadron, based at Quetta Khalid in Balochistan.

They were cancelled. For Pakistan Turkey1706957377374.jpeg
For Pakistan Turkey and China are the way forward. Recently Turkey's own engine for helicopters have entered mass production after it was tested successfully for years now. China and Turkey are the way forward when it comes to helicopters.
