Iran is in need of Three-Tier system: JF-17 Block III (Low), J-10C (Medium), J-31 (High)
To remain competitive in the Middle East’s rapidly evolving air warfare environment, Iran must adopt a three-tier fighter fleet—balancing cost, capability, and strategic deterrence. Relying solely on outdated legacy jets (F-14, MiG-29, F-4) or limited numbers of high-end fighters (Su-35) is insufficient. Instead, Iran needs:
Low-End: JF-17 Thunder Block III (4 Gen, Affordable, Multi-Role)
Medium-End: Chengdu J-10C (Advanced 4.5+ Gen, BVR Focus)
High-End: Shenyang J-31 (FC-31) (5th-Gen Stealth, Long-Term Deterrence)
