Obviously Pakistan talked to countries for ceasefire. What is special about that? Everyone knoww that several countries were involved in the ceasefire process. You don't know that? What are you? Five year old?
The thing is ceasefire happened only after Pakistan rejected indian appeal to not respond

The question is why India agreed to ceasefire on a day when Pakistan was openly bombing mainland Indian territory like Gujarat, Rajasthan, haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh?
Didn't India know it can sustain brinkmanship as you are proudly claiming on this thread?
That question will haunt Indians and keep us curious for sometime. My hypotheses are as follow:
a. One of the key legitimacy factor of Modi government is based on the notion of the US treating India as an equal and Trump treating Modi as a friend, even though it is absurd. Second factor is, of course, trade and economy. Trump probably arm twisted India on both these issues. Although, that "equal partner" bubble blew up on Modi and Jayshankar's face anyway.
b. If we can give importance to it and if the interpretation is correct, the demeanor of Indian military reps and foreign secretary showed two things;
i. Pakistan's response was not what India had expected
ii. the cost incurred by Pakistani response outweighed the perceived benefits of India's military action
iii. The Indian military was not prepared for full scale war, especially considering that Pakistan would deploy forces before them and since the conflict had already escalated to violent counterforce phase Pakistan would probably move forward rather then stay deployed at the front. Indian army has been saying that Pakistani forces had started to move toward Shakargarh Buldge, which would threaten Jammu-Pathankot (correct me if I am wrong on geography).
iv. In line with the above, a. India had lost its air cover, and b. Indian Punjab was also likely perceived as highly vulnerable to breaking away. There are indications that local Sikhs dissidents were thinking in this direction.
Thus it was likely the Indian military and officials from MEA who pushed for ceasefire while the BJP goons took a face saving back seat.
I could be all of these, some of these, or none of these.
