Pakistan Missiles - Updates, News & Discussion

Very insightful video, it explains the practical utility of drones and what type actually works on the battlefield

No substitute for real life tactical experience.

Western suicide drones were too expensive to be usable on large scall and small payload to work effectively, but cheaper rugged drones made by Ukraine, Russia, etc did better because cheaper/easier to mass produce, designed with opponent weaknesses and operational needs in mind.

For that GHQ & SPD folks have to accept that our missile arsenal needs total overhaul. new projects should be started.
The way ABM defense system has advanced and been procured in mass by India. We need BMs in numbers to get it through.

We need a medium range (2000km) hypersonic conventional missile
We have other enemies too who were actively involved in 88 hours of war against Pakistan by providing assistance to India. We need credible deterrence against such elements and obviously need Hypersonic missile more than 2K range.

The Iskander-M has been wrecking havoc in Ukraine even against top of the line US air defence.

Fire loong 280A, 500-800KM range, 5-6 mach speed, carried by PHL-191 (modified AR-3) modular MRLS, currently under mass production for PLAGF army corps, deployed in Tibet for the Indian.

Exactly that was the point no conventional missile inventory we have. We should takes notes from iran.
We have an actual airforce. The response should have been to loose REK and H4 on Indian bases.

Let's call them by name i.e. Israel.

Everyone keeps iterating the same notion of ‘We don't have a Brahmos like missile hence we couldn’t achieve anything in retaliation’ The problem we currently have with our institutions is that we take the enemy's capabilities too lightly.

Many old timers have been saying that Brahmos is a deadly missile, not because of its speed (which partly is the reason) but because India has amassed enough missiles to effectively launch them in massive barrages.

Which we have found out, the hard way, is quite a challenge for a country like Pakistan.

Again, the main point is Pakistan has not built a credible conventional inventory or stockpile of munitions/missiles which it could answer back with. Hence we see army resorting to Fatah 1 & some volleys of Fatah 2.

The fault is not ‘we dont have Brahmos like missile,’ the fault is we don't have a proper conventional missile inventory, most of our Babur & Raad missiles are limited to Nuclear deterrence. We have virtually nothing in terms of conventional missiles we can answer with.

Hopefully the babus at GHQ realise this and start developing either chinese missiles or rework own missiles like the SMASH or Babur & Raad into conventional missiles that MUST be both air & ground launched plus the minimum range should be at least 700km.

Investing further into conventional Ballistic missiles that are 900km - 1800km isn’t a bad idea either.

Now is the time to build CONVENTIONAL deterrence.

Well said. Pakistan is lacking in conventional deterrence. This is the time to address this shortcoming.
