Pakistan Missiles - Updates, News & Discussion

These are the kind of toys that Pakistan requires in the missile department.
agreed, since Pak army already operating MRLS for a long time, it shouldn't be too hard to adapt a new one, and with enough surveillance means, these ballistic missile can wreck havock on time sensitive target as we sees in Ruso Ukr war, where Iskander and Himars ATACMS did upon enemy gathering point, something that is difficult for conventional rocket to achieved.

Luckily Pakistan has China on its side. I am sure something will be figured out to address the shortcomings.

If you start relying on ground based missiles, you are admitting your AF sucks.
There's a difference between "relying" on them existentially, and then using them as complementary measures, especially as part of a ground rocket force. Countries with the most powerful air forces do this, because it serves different roles and allows for flexibility. Especially for very long range strikes in contested territory.

The US, China, Russia, etc (even India) are not primitive now 🤷🤷‍♂️

An improved Fatah 1 to 4 series with a CEP of <5m should do the work. Fatah 1 and 2 need to be improved while Fatah 3 and 4 should be launched with a better specs.
A new adventure by Indians is expected before next Indian elections, if not before... they may also force us to retaliate to issues related to IWT.

A cruise missile or a hypersonic missile won't be ready by then as we need a min. of 5 to 6 years for that, if not more. on the other hand, Fatah is available, problem is that its only Mach 1 + and has a CEP of <50m.
If these parameters are improved then we would have a cheaper solution compared to an expensive one which can be fired 4 to 5 in place of 1 and the chances of it passing through air defence would be higher. Not all Fath-1 were intercepted by Indians and an improved Fatah1/2 in any future adventures would be an interesting prospect. Hypersonic missiles or cruise missiles can be developed in time but I belive that the need of the hour is the above.

Can pak tweak S1A and S2 for conventional strikes inside India.
Is it feasible?
Wouldn't it more sensible to work around already developed missiles, as you have mentioned in this thread they have CEP under 10 metres.

F1 CEP is already Down to 15m, as per GIDS. Either the number of missiles available to us were the problem or we excerised too much restraint, Cities like Mumbai Gao Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata should been hit. They attached all of our major urban centers we should have done the same, I definitely know they are some S1,2&3 for conventional purposes why were they not used?
That remains to be answered.
Options to hit India are not problem but the will to is.
For now India has smelled blood, they can launch missiles wit impunity against are urban centers and we will only targeted bases in north just the bases, India with drones terrorised pakistani cities, why didn't?.
The response no way established any deterrence for now India knows from where to hit and how bleed PAF. Hope GHQ doesn't makes a mistake and pays heed to what happened next volley begin with missiles no Indian aircraft will strike pak that's for sure.

I remember there was a discussion here once on the possible origin of the Fatah-2 missile.

IMO, I think it's a domestically modified version of China's DF-12 missile. (Which China also explicitly offers for export). The missile bodies look extremely similar and stated specs.

Chinese DF-12 (export name 'M-20' in Belarus)

One thing to note is that the Fatah 2's warhead area or 'nose tip' looked slightly different on parade day.

the wing like things on the back are also different?

The far rear fins right at the back are actually the same, the exact material and shape even looks the same. But it seems Pakistan added in some extra fins slightly ahead.
