Azerbaijan Air Force Becomes Fourth Operator of JF-17 Fighter Aircraft, President Aliyev Confirms

$4 billion is a lot of money, can get quite a lot of thunders. 40 number might actually be close.
That $4 billion also includes training, spare part supply, weapons packages, and i assume to integrate Turkish systems to turn the thunder into Turkified one.

Wonderful purchase by Azerbaijan Air-force , however I would recommend them to distribute the hangers away from each other

Stacking the buildings together seems bit odd

Stacking 16 planes in one spot bad idea, try to split up hangers around the airbase

2nd production line needed I think, PAF need to speed up Block III induction for our own needs then move in to whatever replaces it (PFX, etc). Basically additional Azeri order will take a years worth of production (at maximum capacity), hoping CAC can take some of the slack
Not at all. Rather, these orders will keep the production line warm, and when the time comes to retire the block-1s, Block-IIIs will take their place.

This is actually ideal for PAF, gives them the opportunity to keep the light fighter fleet at max 10 squadrons.

Its certainly an odd choice.

Perhaps it's a matter of a lack of space? Just seems odd.

If you Google Map "Nasossnaya Airbase", it looks like a lot of construction work is being done in and around the base.

What are these structures?

Its because its not a hangar, rather, a sun shade. The main objective is to protect line crews from the elements when working on the aircraft on the line. Also keeps the aircraft protected when its out etc. Not meant to be a secure, protected facility, just a metal umbrella.

hardened aircraft shelters- the thing designed to protect the aircraft from strikes, you can really see how much concrete and other structures are placed around the metal shell by comparing the sizes of the yellow/green structure wiith the others.

Nice to see they are actually spreading it out

In light of the recent , kiddie drone attack on air fields (In Russia) I am sure every nation on planet must be reviewing their air base security or how planes are stored Or Parameter defence near airport

Protecting the asset is 100% Air force's own doctrine
Obviously one of top responsibility of person who is in charge of the Air base

You may be limited by some law , about F16 so people can snoop from satellite check where the F16 is placed but other assets
JF17/AWACs/J10C/Orions/Mirage/F7 of course you can protect with every trick in book

Concrete structures do provide some protection against sudden incidents

As for Azeri Airforce I am sure they are also going to build a nice setup for these brand new planes JF17 BLOCK III first of many

Ah, that makes sense.

That was a sneak attack. Possibly orchestrated by the CIA according to Jeffery Sachs.

He explains that under the nuclear treaty between the US and Russia, nuclear bombers have been in the open so the other side can monitor them via satellites. That would imply the US had passed the exact location and the status of those bombers to Ukraine.

We will learn from the Russian retaliation whether that was indeed the case.

Considering Trump publicly invited Zelenski and lectured him to "STOP" it
Stop the war and he still goes about and does this fancy mission against Russia, I mean I watched those videos and they were live , transparent and very "brutally Honest", He did a public press release with his Vice President

Perhaps may be USA is not much involved in this operation
At least I don't think US Administration planned it to invite Putin to negotiation table and then 1 day before it Humiliate Russians. It would appear counter intuitive to Trump Foreign Policy

I feel Zelensky went Rouge or who helped him

It is difficult to know how Russians will react what intel they had about incident

It is claimed Russians did found a deserted command centre VAN a few days or weeks before the incident but they could not understand purpose of the command centre van equipped with high tech monitoring LCD and other other equipment

@arslank01

Looks like like the forum was under attack and the last couple of comments seem to have vanished.

But it’s as follow:

- $4.6 billion contract for 40 JF-17C
- $2 billion investment in Pakistan by Azerbaijan (various fields of economy)

These two are not related to each other.

I know this despite the confusing translation and wording because the $2 billion investment was mentioned before, already last year iirc during Azerbaijani president’s visit to Pakistan. Now it’s a firm agreement.
