Their is no longer any line in China
The only existing line is In Pakistan
Restarting the line in China requires more investment and then you have to have a idea of confirmed orders etc to make it worth while
I don't believe their will be any more lines in China
At best we can open a second line in Pakistan, if we think we can later move everything over to the PFX with the idea of a lot of export orders to multiple countries who have been frozen out of the 5th Gen market
For the moment this is all we have,
If Pakistan can produce 24 fighters per year, then we might as well keep a few for ourselves and the rest for export, especially if the follow on rumours of order from other countries turn out to be true, the line will be active for the next 5-10 years and we can concentrate on the PFX
And in the meantime just induct J10s and J35s
This is also why the F16s are still important for the moment
Specs changedthe maximum PAC has done is 16-217 to 16-234 that's 18 units in 2016
block 2 production ended in 2018
18-251 to 18-262 thats 12 units
26 x JF17B + 50 x JF17 Block 3 should've been delivered by now they had over 7 years
but they only did just over 20 x Block 3 for some strange and every bizarre reason
old debate, but JF17 cannon is for ground attackHi,
After this conflict---how many pakistani superstars think that the JF17 still need the canon---?
Moving onto next line means moving to PFX? that would effect PAF plans for upgrades?Specs changed
Production capacity for intl orders
Blk-3 wasn’t enough
Moving onto next line
Hi,old debate, but JF17 cannon is for ground attack
I agree, may be on the block 3 we can use that hard point for an additional missile or pod. Block 1 & 2 will be used to provide CAS to ground troops and can keep their gun.Hi,
We should leave it to the less capable aircraft.
The capabilitity that the BLK 3 has shown---using it for ground strikes makes it vulnerable to enemy SA missiles---thus losing the technology.
The canon is just a wastage of space on the aesa equipped BLK3---.
Is there any evidence of a MLU being applied to PAF's Block-1's and Block-2's?Still a very large number of Block 2 being upgraded to Block 3 Standard
Block 1's can still remain active
Even the Block 1 at one point were targeted to be upgraded to block 2 levels
Public domain info
Model Count JF-17 Block I 50 MLU to Block 2 Standard JF-17 Block 2 62 Up-gradable (90% to Block 3) JF-17 Block 2B 26 Up-gradable JF-17 Block 3 23 Ideal Standard JF-17 Block 3 27 Ideal Standard, Under Construction
The JF17 Thunder will continue to get refined
Only official press release can confirm if every craft is officially at Block 2 Level and when will Block 1 terminology would be unnecessary, Block 1 already has a good operational History so there is no Loss there
Hi,Is there any evidence of a MLU being applied to PAF's Block-1's and Block-2's?
Also what could be included in the MLU?
None whatsoever for now.Are there any images of JF-17 aircraft produced in 2024 and 2025 ?
