BrahMos was the main lethal one, but the overall saturation alongside it & planning was a big part.

To me, it is not about Brahmos or Storm shadow; it is the indecisiveness at the top that will be the decisive killer.

You cannot wait and twiddle your thumbs when a volley of CM and SOW are coming at you.

You need to act and do what PAF did. Hammer the enemy hard and continue hammering until they limp home.

Pakistan army simply took too long on 10th May to start Operation Bunyam-um-Marsoos. It should have been started at the first missile fired at us.

Our response was only intended to placate the Pakistani public. At no time did the Pak establishment want to anger India. Going into the reasons will divert the thread into politics so I will leave it alone.

I believe the Indian claim that it was Pakistan that was asking for ceasefire. We went to Trump and the rest is history.

Chinese JY-12 missile. Pakistan needs to get them in numbers. And these must be knitted with very aggressive doctrine in case India decided to use Brahmos or other SSMs against Pakistani air bases. Brahmos is a challenge but it is not without solution. Such missiles are near impossible to stop/intercept so answer is not to invest too much in ADS but get a weapon that enemy must keep in mind he will be facing in retaliatory Pakistani strike. We don't need shield as much as we need bigger and sharper sword!!

We need to develop an equivalent to YJ-12 land attack version with range upto 2000KM. Should negotiate with China for a joint project perhaps, or just ToT deal.

SSCM with 2000KM gives us a lethal deep strike capability on cruise missile side.

Pair this with an expanded Fatah series that can give us capabilities similar to the DF-21 and DF-17. Essentially a MaRV and HGV out to 2000KM.

Most engagements will be within the 500KM reach, but being able to strike deep into India's interior is necessary from a strategic and psychological aspect. To threaten rear supporting air force bases, production facilities, storage depots, command centres, etc.

I think there is one very important factor that most of the people failed to see, China not only catch up with western in tech fields but also at a much cheaper price thanks to the countrys unparalleled production capacities, people around the globe ignored or diss the factor because they believed cheap equal low quality (comparing everything in US dollars not purchasing power) but we have seen a glimpse of the result, it wouldn't really matter in a short conflict but a war with equal opponent or a prolong war, definitely one of the most important factor.

This is something that even Soviet Union failed, they have quantity edge (maybe) but never quality, not even close due to their poor civilian sector, which Chinese armed forces is tasting the sweetness from our face developing civilian sector.
