At today's ceremony which involved several new systems, in addition to the Jamaran 76, which in any case did not undergo any changes to the bow (the SAMs were not moved to that place)

alongside it there is a Bayador class corvette which therefore may have received some innovations

and in this other image in the background you can see a large container that appears to be on board what appears to be a Kaman or Sina class.

or there are actually only 6 canisters for kamikaze drones and on the other hand there are 2 canisters left for SAMs, in any case the anti-aircraft defense capabilities would be halved

Why did they change Abu Mahdi's name?

The initial name of this missile was "Talaeye" but after the martyrdom of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the name of the missile was changed to Abu Mahdi.

Don´t be sad. Jamaran belongs to a class of small combat ship. Shows clearly that has arrived to a limit in their design. Also you cannot ad more and more armament. You can see clearly 8 canisters for Noor/Ghader. It is a lot, and adds a lot of height weight (which is specially dangerous in high seas). Jamaran and the whole class it is a big navy school for crews, officers and petty officers. Also has been a necessary step for persian naval industry. But nowadays Jamaran have many limitations to compete with italian and spaniards military corvettes in the Region. IRIN must move to a bigger class of ship.
