It's not fault of either 3 of them that Iran didn't build an air force and prepared it's forces when the writing was on the wall that Israel/US will hit it someday. Iran had all of it's money in the world but choose to indulged in geopolitics and proxywars to expand it's ideology.

It sort of is. Maybe not China as much as Russia, but Russia is absolutely responsible for this mess.
They refused to sell jet fighters to Iran. They passed 4 rounds of UN Security Council sanctions on us that brought our economy on the verge of collapse and forced us to accept the JCPOA. They made a deal with Assad to abandon Syria and offered him to take refugee in Moscow. Only to name a few.

Yes, the US will not want to start its new chapter of relations with Iran that way.

Iranians are one of the most pro-American people in the region. So far, every US act against Iran's interests is blamed on the regime's incompetency and stupidity, but if the regime goes and the US continues to harass Iran even with a pro-US regime, it will piss Iranians off and will threaten the security of the next puppet regime.

The US once helped Iran retake Azerbaijan from the Soviets. Not militarily though, but it did help us to convince the Soviets to leave Iranian Azerbaijan after World War II.

Of course, it's all just speculation. We will see what happens.

Divide and conquer is the doctrine followed by UK and US for long. Shah’s Regime was known to be the closest US ally but it collapsed and turned to be anti-US, which made US regret so much, and there is no reason US will be so innocent to keep Iran unified, given 40+ years of mutual hostility.

Anyway, the regime still stands there, only time will tell the result, as you said. Let’s go back to the current situation, I just want to see more fireworks above Tel Aviv.

What is Israel’s calculus here?

Is it simply to take out Iran's nuclear facilities and damage its missile factories? That may be achievable — but at an unknown cost. So far, Iran has only used about 6% of its ballistic missile arsenal: roughly 200 out of an estimated 3,000 missiles, with approximately 25 successful hits. ( alteast two of them hitting HVTs ).

If Iran were to use 100% of its missile arsenal and Israel maintains its current interception rate of 88%, that would result in about 360 successful hits. This would cause significant damage, but it’s unlikely to deter Israel from continuing the conflict.

However, if interception effectiveness declines over time — say, to 60% — then around 40% of the missiles would get through. That means 1,200 hits, which would be far more devastating.

Historically, Israeli security doctrine has tolerated short-term suffering in pursuit of long-term strategic dominance.

The calculus is the only they are interested in. It is the same calculus they have had since their inception. Death and destruction of all Muslims everywhere and subservience of every Muslim in every country everywhere to their will, and superiority and their absolute uncontested control.

In this case, it is the destruction of Iran such that Iran bends to their will the same way that all the other GCC Arabs do in subservience and loyalty to them.

Well this IS going to be Pakistan's fight whether we want it to be or not. We cannot close our eyes and bury our head in the sand.

This is not about Iran alone anymore, Can you believe what would happen if Pakistan gets surrounded by Pro-Israeli governments from 2 directions, India & Iran, while Afghanistan is already in India's nexus ? For all of Iran's issues, they are still a wall against Israel surrounding Pakistan. Pakistan needs to let go of all else and do anything it can to sustain the Iranian government.

It doesn't work like this. Before this war Pakistan Iran would have improved relations, both economic and military but for some reason it never worked. Iran is anti usa and gcc and we are friendly towards them so it didn't work out, we still maintained decent relations with Iran. Now Iran is under attack we cannot suddenly become buddies, Pakistan doesn't want to fight usa Israel or gcc, we have our own problems, the same way no muslim country will help us if we are next except Turks.

They don't have to completely Gaza-fy Iran, but they can absolutely make it an irrelevant backward country that can never be a threat, or even a US-Israeli puppet. It doesn't need to flatten Iran like Gaza. But if they keep carrying out airstrikes with impunity, they'll take out all the anti-Israeli people in Iran, completely destroy its economy, its military and its nuclear ambitions. And Iran's incompetence is helping them along.

We are all getting too hyped up coz of Social Media. This is not Iran's first cake ever. US Israel attacked Iran via Saddam Hussein for 8 years, every single day was many times more devastating for Iran during that time, what Israel is doing is nothing in comparison, . the world has sanctioned Iran to teeth for 35 years now, while simultaneously attacking it several times.

They have suffered far worse and they can absorb a lot more. If you start panicking at every single social media post then it will be very depressing for you indeed. Countries at times go into full strategic retreat and then come back after years to get a final win. Real wars don't work on live basis like this on Social Media. Yesterday Israel was shouting all day that Iran is done and by the night Netanyahu and Israelis we all hiding in bunkers trying to call Putin to ask Iran to stop. Iran just sent 250 Missiles yesterday. They have at least 8,000 to 16,000 Missiles if extrapolated from last knows estimates and can produce around 100 more per month. They can go a long way before they start using their actual cards.
