This is a complex issue, but now under actual circumstances, Iran could really redefine national doctrine of preserving strategic long-hand edge, and stay strong in keeping special relations with Yemenis, Iraq, and establish an allied objective stronghold in African heartland....what is ongoing and unspoken publicly and without media coverage...

I think they are scared. Israel made it clear if Iran harms Israeli greatly then Israel will destroy everything in Iran, some news are claiming Nato is coming aswell. The firepower will be devastating for Iran with no reply. Remember the GCC and Israelis always wanted Iran to be attacked and their wish has been granted.

Now is the best time if China Russia agree to mediate, give gurantees Iran will sign agreements to not make bomb, disarm, and new government will come to power who will be friendly towards everyone, a government that stays out of middleeast and leaves it to GCC Israel and USA.

Israel is locked in now, no amount of diplomacy will stop them, not even the US. Israel won't trust China and Russia's word on this, they will want it fool proof by blowing it up themselves.

Besides I don't even think it is because of nuclear weapons they're doing this, nuclear weapons is just an excuse. They dare to do this precisely because they know Iran don't have nuclear weapons and is not even close to assembly. Otherwise they will just be forcing Iran's hand to accelerate nuclear works, which is foolish.

They want to destroy Iran, simple as that

these bases turned out to be useless when the entrances got blow up right? The best defensive strategy is a strong offensive one, not hiding in caves hoping the bad man goes away ... and also not relying on 50 year old junk too.

This situation is the perfect example of the proverb "Don't let your mouth write a check that your ass can't cash".
They barked for too long about how no fighter jet will return to their air base as soon as they take off. Not only Israel established air superiority over Iran after 12 hours, but they have been maintaining it for 2 days now. And they seem to have no problem returning to their air bases.

Iran has tens of thousands of SRBMs and none of those missile bases have been attacked. Destroying US bases will be so much easier for us.

Trump has also clearly said Iran cannot have the bomb, okay so he is in favor of the nuclear capability being taken out, but not a prolonged war....

God forbid, but should things escalate more and Iran feels like it needs to meddle with the straights of hormuz, then of course global markets will crash and I really don't think trump wants the internal pressure that will come from this

So his optimal outcome will be degrade the nukes, stop the war

Don't be so Naive, Pak army might be anything but they are not this suicidal. Do you know what it means if Iran falls ? not even the worst of Pakistan's enemies would want that to happen, let alone the core of Pakistan. Israel hates everything about Pakistan, including the Army and Nukes. both 2019 and 2025 attacks were coordinated by Israel.

Why would they help invite Israel from 2 directions ? There is a time and place for conspiracy theories, this is not the one. Iran thanked 4 countries last night in the UN and that tells all about who is strongly being Iran right now.

Same reason mullahs in Iran thought appeasing them would result in being spared. GHQ sepoys have the same defeatist mindset.
