At this stage, the real question here is what is the Iranian perspective, is an off-ramp seen as desirable, or is that out of the question?

This is one of those attacks I believe which was calibrated to have huge optics, not necessarily the same destruction

Going for an off ramp would essentially seem like surrender even if it's the best thing to do it would destroy all the influence they built up in the middle east through their proxy's

They could go full scorched earth and block the straight of Hormuz and attack US bases but that might lead to a extensive bombing campaign of Iran.
