Great can we get a deal where we can co produce under the licence and we wont export that to any foreign country? our intention must be in having capability where we can be able to fully produce a 4.5-gent fighter indegenously and based on that learning later we can be able to produce 5th-gen and can also mount pur own weapons, sensors and avionics for our own learning and research.
The problem is that the world situation is changing rapidly, especially when you are facing India. When we can transfer the 4.5-generation J10C in the future, you no longer need 4.5-generation air-to-air short-range fighter jets because you may be facing high-intensity short-term wars. This future is stealth fighter jets ➕ Multi-layer air defense system ➕ UAV ➕ missile ➕ The era of heavy-duty multifunctional long-range fighter jets。The next war in Pakistan will definitely not be a medium to low intensity war, but a high-intensity, short-term decisive loss. At that time, J10C may only be equivalent to today's F16 Block52. If licensed, would you mass produce f16 block52 for defense purposes? The answer is no. Pakistan needs Arrow Air Force, South Asia is the next high-intensity weapon testing zone

Pakistan will get more J-10C before getting J-35A. I heard J-35A delivery date will be pushed to either end of 2026 or beginning of 2027.

And where have you heard this from? You don't have to tell us exactly just give us a hint

I was surprised to learn that China has produced 700 J-10 aircraft. Given this, it seems China may no longer prioritize the J-10 beyond upgrades. Could we convince China to transfer the entire J-10CE production facility to Pakistan, including complete technology transfer? In return, we could ensure mid-life upgrades (MLU), ongoing improvements, and a share of profits from any foreign orders. I believe China might consider this proposal.

Maybe in next 5 years if China see some benefits.

China initially held high expectations for Pakistan’s technical and developmental progress, but those hopes have been met with growing disappointment. The establishment’s mismanagement has created instability and eroded trust. While Beijing maintains a policy of non interference in Pakistan’s internal politics, it is closely observing the situation especially as its strategic and economic interests come under strain.

A few years ago, I used to say this same thing. J-10C licensed manufacturing should go to Pakistan. Both Hi-Lo (J-10C and JF-17) could be built in Pakistan. Due to this local industrial capacity, a future stealth variant could also come from one of these projects.

JF-17 is a good workhorse until now. J-10C and a stealth jet should build the future backbone of PAF.

China would let go of the J-10C now. They needs to go heavy on 5th and 6th gen to eliminate US's reserve advantage in a long term war.

For J35, it always around 2028. Earlier delivery push came with recent Indo-Pak skirmish. But how early it's possible is something we don't know.

These comments read like fan fiction some 15 year old would write.
Are you referring to my post? You should've included the parts you think are "fan fiction". I can further comment. Substance is everything!

After initial batches, will stick to 5th generation, domestic and joint production... It's for the time being as stop gape....

I couldn't agree more

I dont know why Deino laugh at this post but it is not something like fairytale or some wishful thinking but actually can be capitalized if we really try.

KAAN came out of primarily Turkey's experience in license build F-16's that later allowed Turkey to build even F-35 parts due to existing industrial base for F-16's manufacturing.

If we were building medium combat jets like the J-10C, a stealth design could've been created with more tech acquisition locally or in China. We are essentially doing that with JF-17 program now, going into Alpha first and then to a local 5th gen. In design terms, that's a lot of work with JF-17 airframe, while easier with J-10C sized jet.

Nevermind Deino.

Plus this reduces the cost for us and we can built more 4.5++ gen and we can also continously upgrade them according to our threat?

Dear in my personal view, the natural transition for local manufacturing, Pakistan is probably looking for is : JF17 to PFX to KAAN. J10C and J35 is/will come to cover the required capabilities so their would be no compromises. JF17/PFX/KAAN will be manufactured in number and form LO part of Hi-Lo mix. F16/J10C/J35 is Hi part of this Hi-Lo mix and is/will be imported goodies.
