PAF J-35AE - News, Updates and Discussions

During that era lure of f 16 was very strong....
Hi,

F16 was already lost by then---. Paf was just wishing it could happen---.

They just kept lying to themselves---. And just because an army man made the deal for an aircraft---they became spiteful and rejected it---would not even consider it till the wakeup call came---.

Just an update to my previous findings after @Quwa helped with some of the findings as well as gathering some information from X and on PDF.

My latest thinking is that the initial promotional video misquoted the Air Chief and as a result it was pulled and a new promotional video was released couple of weeks later.

Anyone having the link/access to the original promotional video and sharing it here would be most appreciated.

The original press release that was published on the ISPR's website dated 2 January 2024 is still there.

02/01/2024Pakistan Air Force(?)Pakistan Air Force(?) releases a promotional video which asserts that the Air Chief made the following announcement:

"The foundation for acquiring the J-31 stealth fighter aircraft has already been laid, which is all set to become part of the fleet in the near future."
This video was removed between 3 January 2024 and 16 January 2024.

A 10 second clip of the original video is attached to the RTE Urdu tweet from 2 January 2024.

Other screenshots from the video are attached at the bottom.

There's no evidence that the Air Chief said anything about J-31 during his speech. There's no recording of his speech available.

The promotional video is not available on the DGPR (Air Force)'s X account nor on the Pakistan Air Force YouTube channel.

Initial tweets on X from the major Pakistani military enthusiast accounts differ on the exact wording of Air Chief's quote. This just implies that everyone rushed to tweet the quote before doing any fact checking.

Hi,

J10 A was never offered---. Musharraf made the deal for 36---and the changes that the Paf requested were making of the J10B---.
AVM Shahid Latif repeated this claim more than once during his interviews that J-10A were offered but PAF rejected it at that time and insisted on continuing Thunder's development.

@Deino,

Are you stupid---or do you act stupid.

Based on your latest claims, it is finally confirmed that Pakistan gets J-35A even a special variant with FA-18-style EJ-seats and canopy since you took a J-19C image for a J-35, it is crystal clear, who from us is juts plain stupid!

Otherwise, your you are again spreading that nonsense, that China only initiated the J-10B due to Pakistans input … so much on who is stupid! :ROFLMAO: 🤡 :ROFLMAO: 🤡

Reasons unknown, but PAF did took back a more than 5~7 mins video about PAF modernization and a shorter version was uploaded in its place. May be too much details were given or something were deemed unnecessary making video lengthy. But as @Quwa mentioned, it was indeed there. This was first video mentioning Multi Domain HQ and other details.

Using the story of PAF rejecting the J-10A as an analogy to the FC-31/J-35 is inappropriate.
I agree that PAF will not introduce new immature fighters.
However, the development background of FC-31/J-35 is totally different from J-10 series.

J-10 is the first 3rd-Gen (later renamed call as 4th-Gen) fighter developed by China. At that time, China's related technology was very backward and the R&D funds it could provide were very small. At the same time, all the subsystems of the fighter needed to be re-developed.

The situation facing the FC-31/J-35 is quite different.

“We want to make fighter jets like we make smartphones”, AVIC's leader said in an interview. - This is what AVIC is currently striving for. If this goal is ever fully realized, do you know what it means?
PAF will wait for WS-19's competition, certification and integration on platform, IMHO.

AECC does not allow WS-19 engine to be exported. the WS-21 engine is the engine they developed specifically for the foreign trade version of the FC-31/J-35.

PAF Babas childhood crush for F16 still remains

Okay guys, this is going to be my last post regarding the research on who actually said what and when. I have found the original video from a place that may have been overlooked by the PAF.

@Deino @Quwa and anyone else who wants to see the original video from 2 January 2024, I have reuploaded this on YouTube for. It has a lot more details then subsequent promotional video released on 16 January 2024.

My opinion is still the same though, that the initial promotional video misquoted the Air Chief and as a result it was pulled and a new promotional video was released couple of weeks later.

The J-31 claim became a breaking news as a direct result of the promotional video and not what actually took place on the day of the event. I am happy to be corrected otherwise.

What the hell... it doesn’t make sense if it’s true? Again, they surrendered in front of US? Kahan J-35s aur kahan Vipers? But it seems like Pakistan has made every official claim about the J-35 disappear, as if they’ve given in to U.S. pressure and abandoned the J-35.

Very Very Bad decision
